@@brentsmith981 I’m not worried about that right now, I want to move whats over head of the bedrock. We plan on bringing out the vac at some point in time but after testing the good layer it really didn’t pan out as far as gold. We are too far downstream from the source & my largest picker found weighed less than.2 of a gram. Thanks for commenting and yeah I’m hoping it’ll be a better season 👍🏻

In my opinion you're running way to much water through the sluice and loosing a lot of gold. For as much water I see you're running, I think you're losing half the gold easy!!! But you're definitely running a great operation! 👍👍

I remember it well. I've been a GPAA/LDMA lifetime member for decades. But between work and health issues, I haven't been able to get out for the past 8 years. Now that I'm retired and better health, I hope to get out soon. I liked the video. Best of luck to you.

Looks like a good claim I would run my material faster I dump 1/3 of my bucket each pour time is money and I would have slowed the water flow a little. Sorry about the flooding I hope your hole didn’t get buried

This was a way better video than I thought it would be. Dang about the floods though. Dry washing seems harder than I would want to go at it. I'd prefer to watch, nap, and smoke cigs ( in the shade). But, you guys made it look more inviting anyway. As for sluicing I like that better. All the internet experts have their opinions I'd bet 80% never used one. I have experienced sluicing friends that go bonkers trying to get the sluice right. Funny story, I have a buddy who sluices a lot and has a longer sluice. He could not get it right one day, could of been the beer, even though the water was fast enough. He spent most the day moving rocks to divert the flow ( again flow was fast enough) and ended up basically slowing the water and making a 4 foot deep pool. He really got mad when me and another buddy used his pool for cooling off. He finally got it right enough and got the best of us. He set up down stream cussing us, ran his buckets, and got 3 grams + with a really nice big flake. I am still trying to levitate gold mentally into the pan w/o work. I'll keep you posted!

@@richardwood8276 I got a couple of spots in mind for flood gold on the claim. A quick history of this claim, What we’re digging is material that the former mine owners stored the material by heavy machinery before they went bankrupt. This was an 80’s operation site but has been worked by small scale prospectors since then. The area has been mined since the later 1880’s. Hopefully we’ll triple our gold this year with a new piece of equipment. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

@wygold good luck .hope your find them potatoes size nuggets. I tried about 20 years ago 😔 found nothing dredge mariposa river with a 12 inch dredge for one week. Almost drown. Found nothing.

Hi wygold, does it really make that big of a difference classifying the material 2 or 3 times before running? I was under the impression the drywasher did most of the work.

@@TRAITORS-EXPOSED it’s best for me to classify due to the material I’m running. It may be different in other locations due to whats in the material. It’s basically user preferences.

Anywhere dry as long as you don’t get the control pod wet, even in light mist don’t use it. It’s not waterproof. Just sweep the coil as to not hitting the rocks. You want the coil about 1/2” above the ground you’re sweeping in. Thanks for commenting, sorry it was late. 👍🏻
