@@troymcdonald it's actually a lot less than you would think inside the hose being such a small diameter hose only 1/4 inch inside diameter, the whole 100 feet of hose holds less than a half a gallon, I don't know the exact amount but you're right that is a minor downside of having a fixed unit like this instead of something with say a 3 foot hand wand.

@DIYDad13 ай бұрын
Well the business end of the cutting happens on the front wheels and those come off for adjustment and sharpening so thats a common practice. If I remember correctly I took the rear wheels off as well to get down a half inch lower for mowing and it was a pretty simple process, it's just a single nut that you have to loosen up on the outside, I can't remember off hand but you might have to clamp the opposite end nut in place if they are tied together through the axle. Find a wrench or socket that fits that nut and you can simply tighten it up, it just slips onto a sleeve. Hope that helps!

Sadly for me this mower met its demise and the oil pan gasket sprung a leak one day and all the oil was just gone and overheated and seized it up. It worked for a little while but yeah I had a hard time with the drive as well, I think it wasn't the belt tension or anything from what I researched on this model it's the gearbox that has issues as they get older, there's some sprockets that lock up and cause it to not go forward or go forward very slowly and in some cases the wheels actually lock up completely. Seems like a design flaw with these where the transmission needs to be torn apart and rebuilt, not worth it at that point.

@@mnoble0902 grab the rear part of the head where it connects to the shaft to hold it in place so that part doesn't rotate then rotate the outside shell part to the right and it should turn. There's a couple of plastic tabs on opposite sides of the top of the head you can squeeze those and the head will pop off to disassemble, try to clean that out blow it out with some air and remove any debris.
