****Side note: Ladies, wear plastic gloves because the black (mesh) rubs off onto your hands and nails. I had to use nail polish remover on my nails.

Thankyou for this video. It's the 2nd one I watched, both were helpful, what you offered here was straigh to the point and more importantly you cover how to measure for overage. I nearly bought the exact size of my door when I actually need more inches for velcro.

This is jank. Just cut it to length and do an iron-on hem across the bottom. Problem solved.

the dude is measuring the frame, not the door opening. And you don't say anything about how it's going to work when you order one that is 3" bigger, what installation techniques will deal with the slack if the mounting surface is not wide enough to accommodate?

You're absolutely right Jay C. He measured the frame. I expected him to go one inch further onto the face of the finish but that's not what he did at all. The installation he did finished right where he was measuring . That doesn't make sense at all . I imagine they did that so it looked a lot cleaner than going one inch further on the outside finish frame. Then he didn't explain what to do with the excess. I have a 32-inch door and I want to go on the outside frame an inch meaning I need a 34 inch width finish. The ones I've been looking at don't mention anything about the adjusted size he's talking about. I'll find out more clear info before I buy. The last one I bought was way too big at 39 in wide and I had to fold each side inch by inch until I got it down to 34. Kind of a pain in the ass that's why I'm trying to get one that finishes at 34 exactly.

I have another brand but you just saved me a lot of frustration. Thank you so much, sir! I was trying to figure out how to hang it between a storm door and an inside door. This will work great! I couldn't afford to buy nor did I want to buy a screen for the apartment I live in. You're great!

Hi, My screen porch is very short! The height of the doorway is 6ft so I'd have to shorten my screen door 11 inches. Would that work do you think or would it look really dumb? Thanks

Cut the bottom off and do an iron-on hem across it. I’d recommend that before this stupid “fold it over and pin it” nonsense.
