It looks like a dummy connector maybe the harness is interchangeable with another model that has something there.

Always change the oil feed line. Oil builds up and restricts flow and will kill the turbo. Its a cheap insurance IMO.

Great vid. Did you consider doing away with the AVF shocks and getting regular non-AVF shocks?

hey brother i have a 2017 buick encore code po299 , can i just replace the wastegate vacum soloniod first to see if that ficks the problem, the car threw the engine light and it started to spit and sputter just a tiny winy bit thats it but still drives ok but just spits and sputer a little tiny bit.

I don’t think it would hurt to try. Especially since it’s 1/10 the cost of a turbo. You can check to see if it’s bad how I did.

Sorry if this is a weirs question. But did you notice if your car sat a littke higher for a while after installing new shocks/struts? I am about to do the job on my wife's IS 350 thanks to your video. It was done on my GS 350 3 years ago and it was about 2 inches higher for quite some time and then it settled. I have been reading online an occasionally that happens to some people. However, like I said said, it settles eventually.

I didn’t notice anything to be honest. Technically shocks themselves shouldn’t change ride height unless they’re not correct.

I have the exact same car as you. Is the KYB 5540004 rear shocks able to go on? I see on rock auto base model in the description but not sure if it’s right for F sport

No from what I could find there was not an aftermarket application for the f sport

Is there a difference between f sport and non sport ? Really can't find any info. Have a gs350 f sport. Need shocks, don't know were to purchase them..

I’m pretty sure the non f sport shocks don’t are not adjustable like these. I would get them from Lexus.

@@shadetreemechanic9924 The Luxury Package has the AVS aka S+ Suspension think of it as a stealth F-Sport minus the larger front calipers/rotor setup. In 2017 I picked up a Luxury AWD with a winter package for $5K under F-Sports and in PC AWD was a must.

Get you a transmission adaptor for your floor jack. Relatively cheap and turns regular floor jack into trans jack.

Is the performance of the vehicle affected with this fix compared to if the turbo was new? I know it might be a dumb question but I’m just trying to figure out

Well if there’s something wrong with the actuator solenoid basically it’s keeping the wastegate open which isn’t allowing the turbo to spool up like it needs to so yea performance is definitely affected if your solenoid is bad.

I have 2013 Regal Premium Turbo, I have a Bluedriver and can clear the Po299 code it comes back on though every time, keeps putting me in limp mode. So you just followed the videos directions and your code went away?

@@cjohnson6820 nah man, after I pulled the intake lines I wiped some excess oil on the intake mouth of the turbo, then I cleaned the airbox out and cleaned the air filter with a vacuum. Checked the turbo and looked for damage and loose bearings, or loose spinning etc, wiped the solenoid rod off just in case. Then it just kept reoccurring when it gets really hot out, I usually just give it a day or two and don't push her and it goes away. Whenever the po299 code pops it's always over 95°f out.

You should've put some brake lube on the hardware to prevent brake noise. Also you need to put some anti-seize on the hub to keep the rotors from sticking next time you replace them...also no need to put the screw back in that holds the rotor because they usually strip out...you can just use a lug nut to hold the rotor in place...besides all that pretty good video for the basics.

My '03 sante fe had its screw on transmission filter socket removed in manufacturing and they're is no internal filter either RIP my car, I'm going to sell it or buy a new trabsmission that has proper specs LIKE A FILTER TO PROTECT MY VALVE BODY
