Thanks for your lovely comment 😊. We had a wonderful 3 days here and were so pleased that we'd booked to stay on Empire State Club level as we felt it was so worth it. This was our first time visiting this hotel and we really enjoyed everything. Stand-outs for us were: 1. The breakfast exclusively offered in the Empire State Club Lounge. It felt like an oasis of calm, the staff were amazing and very attentive and helpful. They couldn't do enough for you. The offerings were also very good. 2. The Afternoon Tea was very enjoyable with a good range of delicious savoury and sweet treats on offer. 3. The staff were more than happy to allow you to take drinks away from the lounge. So I often had a hot chocolate in a take-away cup on an evening which was nice to have in the room. (Note that we stayed in the Disneyland hotel after the Art of Marvel and they did not offer takeaway drinks, which was interesting). 4. The Empire State Club team were very approachable and keen to help. They managed to get us into the Downtown Restaurant (which was showing as fully booked online) which we were very pleased with. 5. The rooms are lovely and show every little signs of wear and tear. We were on the 8th floor overlooking the front entrance of the hotel (where the cars arrive). To our surprise we had a great castle view and could see the fireworks and the drone show which was amazing and well worth it. Our room number was 8229. I think the only one thing to note is that the Club Lounge from 6pm to 11pm moves to the 6th floor which doesn't quite have the atmosphere of the daily Club Lounge (situated on the ground floor). Its rather dark and not very themed, although the service provided by the staff is still very good. We found that not many people went to this lounge. We mainly used it to get drinks to take back to our room which was very handy. We had such a great stay that as soon as we arrived home we booked to go back at Christmas later this year! The theme for the 8th floor was Dr Strange.

UPDATE! - please note the typo above. The sentence should read: 5. The rooms are lovely and show VERY little signs of wear and tear.

@@Lindy88888 - Yes - people who do not stay in Empire State Club can have access to levels 6, 7, and 8 on the Empire State floors. There was no restriction and there's no special access key pad in the lift to stop non Empire State people going to those floors. This means that they can walk along the corridors and view the artwork for the themed floors. Access to the Empire State Lounge was different though and to enter you have to show your room key and the staff check your name off a list to ensure you are actually staying on Club Level. Hope this is helpful 😊😊

Hello. Thanks for your question. We were advised that access to the Lounge ends at 11:00 on check out day, so there is no opportunity to enjoy the Tea Time on check out day unfortunately.

Thanks for your comment. The Deluxe Lounge serves complimentary caramelised nuts and biscuits along with their soft drinks after breakfast and before the 4pm tea time. Alcoholic drinks are available to purchase in the lounge. As far as we're aware food is not available to buy between 11am and 4pm (although we may have overlooked this on the menu - we're not sure!). 🙂

@pixiedustuk4873 Thank you for the information, could I ask one more question, On the television in the deluxe rooms I see an option for Disney on demand, Does this mean there are certain Disney movies and shows on the TV ready to watch? Is it like a limited Disney plus? Thanks.

Hi, the room is a 2 bedroom suite (official called the Opera Suite) at the Sofitel, terminal 5 at Heathrow airport. It was a bit extravagant, but when we originally booked it we thought there would be 6 of us using it (and we also we booked it early on, so it was only the price of 2 standard rooms). We thought it was a wonderful room with so much space and brilliant (quite close) views of the runway. The room has 2 separate bedrooms with a lounge and 2 and a half bathrooms. It has access to the Millisime club lounge area as well (although when we tried to use it it was very busy!). Hope this helps, thanks. 🙂

Yes, you're right - it's so hard to find this castle online. They do have it on the UK Disney site at the minute, however it doesn't look as if they ship to many international addresses at the moment.
