None of the other Phase balls have lived up to the Phase II, while it is nice to have a new ball with the name, I just wonder if everyone is going to compare it to the OG or base it on what it is.

Great review Logan! This ball has been on my radar. So you consider this to be a middle of the bag type of bowling ball, or a bit stronger?

I definitely think it needs some friction but it depends on your specs, since I have heavier roll I don’t have trouble getting it to start up whereas some people may. So I’d say a middle block ball or maybe earlier depending on your specs.

Great video review! Curious if you have thrown a Venom Shock and if the Summit Ascent could fit in the same bag?

With their total differences I see them being close to the same strength, Venom being stronger if nothing else, but two completely different shapes, so I would definitely be able to throw them in the same bag because I prefer different shapes over different strengths but if you’re someone who really wants to let the ball strength be your separator there may be better options for a ball down

I've just started getting back into bowling so I retooled with the new ION Pro but I have not thrown it as of yet but based on what I'm seeing about the MAX it might likely be a good compliment to the regular ION Pro.

Depending on how Rev or Speed dominant you are I would lean towards getting something like The Road, IQ Tour, Venom Shock, or one of Hammer’s Scorpions, essentially just something down from the Summit, before I’d go for something above it.

NRG and MicroTrax are similar but not the same. From Schlem himself, he's said he uses his own formulations for Roto. For a Zen replacement, definitely the Optimum idol pearl

I thought NRG was like middle of storms coverstock strength chart and microtrax was the strongest SPI cover, so even a hair stronger than NeX.

Logical choice going forward with a solid version of the ion, almost looks like their trying to replace the phaze II with the Ion max if their going to market this as an asymmetric solid benchmark. Guess next on the list is a pearl version of the Ion..

I have a suspicion that when it gets over here it will be tx-23 and not R2S. The Absolute Power had R2S Deep on it which is fine... but the OG Absolute had R2S Hybrid where the Summit and Summit Peak had TX-23 not sure what storm is thinking but I'm guessing when it gets here it's going to be tx-23

A solid Summit will be released in the states. I don't think it will be this ball exactly but hopefully they keep this color scheme with the TX-23 cover.

Honestly I hope that we do get a TX-23 solid summit but with that catalogue logo, this will come first, unless they decide to cancel it.

This is confirmed to be a US release. The flyer even says "New 2024 Catalogue" which is how you can tell as well
