We are excited to purchase Feudum and almost pulled the trigger on your website, until we saw this new edition coming out in May. Besides the metal monster, are there going to be changes made from the original game in this new edition (such as new improvements on the board or changes to the rules within the gameplay?) If not I may just get my copy from your current website. But if there will be significant additions and or changes, we will wait for the new edition. If you could speak a little to this, that would be great! Thanks so much!

Hello Charlie. There will be improvements to the board, a metal clockwork behemoth, some minor rule clarifications, and of course any earned stretch goals! You can see what is new under "WHAT'S NEW" on the gamefound feudum page here: gamefound.com/en/projects/odd-bird/feudum

Starting a monthly game night with some people who enjoy heavy and confrontational games specifically cause i want to play this beast more. Love the aesthetic and all the interwoven mechanisms! One of the best looking games in my collection!

When I landed on this page from a fairly tangential query, I was sure this "game" was the result of someone riffing, tongue-in-cheek, on Cones of Dunshire. I'm a little stunned to discover this one is real (which doesn't mean the designer COULDN'T have been riffing on Cones). I can't imagine ever finding this appealing. Yikes.

It certainly looks too heavy when you first look at it. However, it's really just a bunch of simple ideas. Each card it easy to explain, and you will find you use some a lot more than others. It's just daunting when you have so many little things haha. Definitely a game that will benifit from many plays 😂

I love complex games like this. And the art on the cards looks great. But I'll never understand why designers choose to use symbols that nobody can read. Forcing everyone to read the rules for every move the first couple games. Instead of just saying what the card does.
@WideMouth2 жыл бұрын
It saves space on the card and makes the card easier to remember once everyone understands the symbols.
@joshbain8032 Жыл бұрын
Also the player aids in the game say what each card does which is super handy
@NinjaDuckie Жыл бұрын
Additionally, localisation reasons. Very costly to change every card in the game. Easier to use symbols and then you only have to translate the main rulebook.

I had a board game weekend with some friends. A group sat in a table and started learnnig this, and I sat in a different one learning another game (ERA). The time it took my table to learn the game and do a complete play through, they only finished explaining the first part of the game.
