most fun I've ever had with a boss fight metroid bosses just hit different

For those who doesnt know; this is a Fangame ...it all started since 2008 .... And was finished the forst version in 2016 on August... I tell ya cuz i been waiting for this awesome fangame for years!❤ They also made an update in 2020 i think 🤔 Basically this is a PC game, called AM2R (Another Metroid 2 Remake) not the "Samus Returns" from 3DS Have a nice day ! 😊

I’m by no means good at video games. But this was my first 2d Metroid game and I struggled in a few sections. I remember losing to this guy over and over, thinking I’m never going to be able to beat him. Then finally one day I killed him and after that I got so use to the boss I could almost body him without even getting hit. Love this game so much.

Not so fond of this. I like the animations of samus and raven beak, but the soundtrack of this game... not so much. It´s dramatic, but Metroid Prime 1 takes the lead in terms of music. My personal opinion.

Fun fact Raven Beak was behind almost everything in the Metroid series. He's the one that gave the Space Pirates weapons which made them the big threat they were. He may also have influenced Mother Brain as they share similar ideology and Mother Brain apparently went "rogue" we know from flashbacks that they met. Basically it's all his fault

I don't know why but listening to this make me think of the botw guardian theme but if it was more like a intergalactic virus infested a ruined guardian as some sort of hidden boss fight

Raven Beak was a challenging boss and I went down to this guy a few times due to recklessness and some incompetence up until I learned his attacks. What puzzles me is when did he pretend to be ADAM? I knew something was fishy when ADAM was saying things that goes against his character. "Accept your helplessness?" "You were no match for him then, you are no match for him now, even at full power."? It was even more fishy after Samus Metroid DNA kicked in with absorbing energy. ADAM would say something concerning, but would soften the blow and assure Samus better than that. It wasn't funny that Raven Beak was stroking his ego, that's how Samus figured it out that there's no way ADAM would egg her on nor hit her with depressing info. If Raven was unbeatable, why he did he have a crack in his armor near his left eye where Samus hit him with a Super Missile?

This boss made me feel like a kid again, playing a Nintendo console for the first time way back in 1996 with Donkey Kong Country 2.

A thought I just had about the fight with Raven Beak - it's the second time in the series that we have to fight another Power Suit user, but the first time we've fought one with more experience using it than Samus. The first was the SA-X, but it was basically just copying Samus, and couldn't really develop any complex tactics beyond "unga bunga Ice Beam and Screw Attack". Raven Beak had his own fighting style and attacks, and might have even had a superior model to Samus'. The only thing he didn't have - and thus wanted - was Samus' Metroid DNA.

I've gotta admit, I didn't like this at first, dissonance rubbed me the wrong way and it just felt.. unpolished? Listened to it a couple more times, definitely grew on me, now I think this is one of the best final boss themes in Metroid.

I never heard this during the fight. Probably because the words “please die” echoed through my head the entire time.

I feel like Raven Beak has wings, because he’s just literally the pure physical peak of Chozo. Focused on training and gaining as much power as he could. He possibly grew wings as he kept getting stronger. Or possibly was just physically gifted, and was born with them. Or even just so old, he predates the loss of wings of the chozo. Personally I like to think, genetically speaking he is a close match to Chozo who had wings. God I love this game and boss fight so much.

I just realized something. Keener ears have noted that the music uses a rearranged version of the item music, and it gets more and more frantic as Samus gets angrier. We all know Samus isn't locked in with Raven Beak, but the other way around, meaning This isn't Raven Beak's boss music - It's Samus' boss music 😆

One of my favorite parts of this boss is that he’s hard as nails *even if* you have 100% items. He’s so badass he can go toe-to-toe with Samus at full power and still kick her ass

I can't tell which is better; This theme or the Tabuu final boss theme from Super Smash Bros Brawl.

Raven Beak... The Metroid veteran’s greatest challenge!

I love the seamless transitions into each phase.. Personality, phase 3 is best! It is just epic when it's phase 1, but now you gotta watch for the gold orb to drop power bombs! Never have I ever seen POWER BOMBS incorporated into a boss fight! (Outside Metroid Prime whenever it spawns metroids) (Probably because power bombs are usually mid to late game upgrades..)
