I live in SA so no hilux for me due to hijacking and theft. Ford is also on the rader for thieves. Out of the rest i chose the navara. Isuzu was an option just too expensive. Otherwise i would have bought a toyota.

We're currently on a 5-year trip in a Grenadier across the world towing a Patriot X3, which we live in. If you're watching this review, it may be of interest. We set off from London in mid-July 2023 with our two young kids and we’re approaching 50000km. At least 70% of our journey has been off-road...

The EV5 Air LR is an awesome car, test drive it, or at least take a look. If you don't you're missing out! *Note EV5 owner bias. The 500km+ range, 240V outlet in the boot, and fold flat rear seats really make it ideal for (on-road) getaways.

Comments are so harsh. Get over it you lot. The judges liked the car, so just be happy for Hyundai for making a cool car. And having driven it myself, it’s brilliant. And I hate the sounds too.

I drive EV but I don’t appreciate this car of the year though. Great car but I think car of the year should take into account the value and reachability. This is a great car but it’s generally an enthusiast car for the rich. It’s properly niche. Love the car. Just not sure if it’s car of the year.

While I somewhat appreciate the fake engine/exhaust sound, I can never understand why all the fake engine/exhaust sounds have to be so….FAKE….seriously if video games can recreate good enough engine sounds of real cars, how hard is it to not be this bad for a real car playing audio!!!!

Numerous reviews I have seen of this car have commented upon how amazingly *REALISTIC* its sound is, in particular for the driver in the car 🤔 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qGXFgGSHYpx2arc

No chance it’s anywhere I would personally call realistic, it’s a cheap imitation of engine/exhaust sound at best…..

The value calculation seems a bit off. The Kluger Hybrid will make any extra outlay back rapidly with the savings on fuel. That's indisputable. And we drove one from Sydney to Batemans about 3 weeks ago. Insanely good fuel mileage. BUT, I hate that bloody 2.5 petrol engine. It sounds loud and broken.
@andysaunders370812 күн бұрын
That 2.5 litre 4 in the Hybrid Kluger is a hideous, intrusive rough-sounding engine. That said, the things are nice wagons, and that fuel economy is astounding for a vehicle of those dimensions.

2025 Civic released today in Australia. 2 models. The base model is $49,990. Honda and Nissan will merge. $50K for a Civic is a joke. Honda has lost it. They sold 1000 Civics in 2024 compared to 22,000 Toyota Corollas.
@Hayness23 күн бұрын
Am I hearing this right, the MK8 R-line was listed at $37,450 but is now $42,290 + on road costs? Yikes, didn't think prices went up that much in the last two years alone for exactly the same product.

Aftermarket exhaust is what pretty much all WRX owners have always done anyway. I'm 40 years old and for as long as I can remember, WRXs always had huge aftermarket exhausts on them. No point comparing those to a stock exhaust on this model that also has to comply to modern day emission rules.

For me (might be biased) triton i the winner - everything you need nothing you dont, cheap to service, run and buy, 10 year warranty, much better offroad than mentioned here - with super select, sure not the best in class but the winner for bang-for buck. Not to mention can be upgraded and tuned. Ask many triton owners, they all say the same thing - bulletproof.
