I hope you guys don't just clone Stronghold, because right now it looks an awfull lot like it. Siege warfare is great and all, but for me building up and managing your little castle economy was always the most fun part of the game.

To be fair I don't really have high hopes for the combat. Years have passed and we have RTS"s like Broken Arrow, Manor Lords and WARNO. Don't know how combat in this is going to excel.

This game will struggle with something every Stringhold sequel and wannabe did - a reason to play it instead of the original. And that’s a hard thing to pull off, competing with a cult classic. Looks cozy enough though.

All they have to do is make the maps much bigger and it's already guaranteed to be better than Stronghold. Stronghold was cool for it's time, but massively held back by map size and so on.

They’ve said it’s inspired by stronghold so no hiding that. This is what is happening when studios are unable to release what people want without messing it up.
