Jo great vid , love your pics. What film sim do you use mainly ?
@JacobElijah日本2 күн бұрын
Thanks! For most my shoots I’ve just used Lightroom and increased temp, lower clarity and a little change in shadows and highlights. With different masks for the shadowed areas and the areas hit by sun. So right now I couldn’t give you a sim! But I’ll test some out soon for future videos.

If you want to take snaps around Haneda Airport, I recommend the Haneda area from Anamoriinari Station and the Tachiaigawa Station area near Heiwajima, which has an old-time atmosphere.😁👍

hey man did you have a hard time with this lens at night? i'm planning on going to osaka and do some night street photography in Dotombori and wonder if 15-45 will do or I need to take something big like a viltrox 13mm 1.4
@JacobElijah日本20 күн бұрын
I would say it’s a bit of a challenge at night. With it being f 3.5-5.6. So harder to get as much light in. With focal length I enjoy the range of 15-45mm, personally I would take something with a larger aperture ability like f 2.8. If you have the budget it cant hurt to bring both the 13mm and the Fuji kit lens

Do you use any film simulation ? The color looks very nice and balance compare to some super recipes people use.
@JacobElijah日本27 күн бұрын
Thanks! For this shoot I didn’t use a film sim! I just used Lightroom. Normally putting highlights slightly down, with shadows and blacks up. Then temp and vibrance up a little. Clarity down a little. Then certain aspects of the shot I change more like the subject or sunlight to make them warmer or exposed more
@brianbach509627 күн бұрын
@ it looks better than film sim tbh, sometimes I feel like film sim colours are a bit too strong, just my taste haha. I like colorful but smooth look, kinda like what you show here.
@JacobElijah日本27 күн бұрын
Yeh the clarity down helps with the smooth look. I think film sims are easy to make extremely saturated or grainy etc. easy to overdo it in the moment
@brianbach509627 күн бұрын
@ agree, I bought Fuji as my first camera for the color but then I started learning Lightroom and realized not everything look good in film, so I’m starting too shoot raw+jpeg. Thanks for the tips btw 🙏🏻

@brianbach5096 yeh raw is important for Lightroom editing! No problem, just enjoy the process of learning as you go 👊
