Thanks for sharing. I’d forgotten what the old track was like. Scary with that catch fence…

Now the corner stewards or officials should have been onto this driver immediately to attempt to defuse the situation and escorted this driver from the track straight away and kept him from walking back on the track, where were they? They certainly dropped the ball in this instance.

Ask Tony Stewart about getting out of a race car and walking out on the track. You get dead.

Silly behaviour, dangerous to himself, officials and other competitors. Leave that dramatic rubbish to the Americans.

You mean lucky he didn’t Ward himself, this guy would never race again at this track if I was the owner. Stay in your damn cars after you get wrecked until the safety crews get there to help and escort you to safety.

Not sure what your definition of slicing is. I saw no slicing, however I did see the Aussie’s, so there is that.
@slidejobcentral5 ай бұрын
Slicing means moving through traffic, carving around cars to work his way to the front. Thanks for watching.

When I was Track Announcer, Promotions Officer and general dogsbody at Tralee Speedway in Canberra in 1982, I had the pleasure of picking up from the airport Sheldon's dad, and Jackie Hewitt and another American driver whose name I can't remember. They were in Australia for a series of 'Test Matches' against Australian sprintcar drivers, at lots of venues around the country. I don't remember the race results at Tralee, but I do remember that Jackie Haudenschild was a fearsome racer, and a very nice man!

Yep Jac was great with fans back in the day and Sheldon is the same now. Good people!
