My grandad played sax in a jazz band in the 30s and later clarinet in the bbc orchestra (self-taught), and he ADORED this song.

How do you have a brightly lit stage and somehow still have the musicians shrouded in near complete darkness

like what @lovedeathdisco said, i tend to dislike covers where voices are replaced by instruments, but this one is just amazing

very good cover. I was dissapointed to hear that the vocal melody in the 2nd verse doesn't change (it obviously does in the original). for example the "that's a strange mistake to make" part.

Brilliant. When I'l rise up with my vampires, we will listen to this kind of groove at late night in some lesbian nightclub, talking of Kierkegaard and Schopenhauer, and drinking beverages with a bit of alcohol and a lot of blood. All of this with a cool look, very classy attitude (euro-styled class, not those american parvenue's behaviours)... 'till... I raise a finger looking at the bartender and... Starts Sinatra. Here I am.

So well played and such amazing production. This upload did the original much justice. Makes me wonder how much more amazing it would have been to be there at this particular interpretation to be part of that experience. My respect!

genius. i tend to hate covers where the voice melodies are replaced by an instrument, but the control over dynamic is as if the studio recorded voice was measured and learned by the bow'd upright; and the way you're passing the voice melody back and forth make for a diligently crafted revision. the piano is as accurate as it gets and the one added note at 4:02 gives it an emotional signature in the best way. everyone here clearly has the ability to go off on a musician tangent and make it something it was never supposed to be, but the ability to hold back and let the song breathe shown here takes a severe discipline and maturity. wow. was there a soundboard recording of this, by any chance?!
