Just a heads up on The Ramones, you would probably like Dee Dee’s tunes like Warthog Boy, 53rd and 3rd, Endless Vacation.

I really love that song and i think it is very good song on its genre. Mr. Lordi makes the kind of music he likes, mixing his idols. He doesn't try to make the songs mass favorites and I like that. Ps you should have listened to the whole song:D

Why does YT only notify you of a small percentage of your likes? And they want your money to have their whatever benefit. What's up with that? Anybody else notice and you wonder about it? Huh? Come on, let's talk.

I mean as long as I pay them for virtually nothing, they are my friend right? Except for that right? Except for giving me the heads up on the recognition that I deserve right? I guess there's a secret chamber you can go into and get more respect after selling your respect, which is a part of everything on planet earth right? Love this place and all of its great people. Screw YT and EVERYONE that is anything like them.

@@classicmetalshow Well it's not really a channel, but aside from that, (we both apparently use their service for now btw), it's not that they actually hide my likes from me (AFAIK), but just at face value, their service sucks, because they notify me of some things but not others. I think part of it is that they are slackers.

The one thing I will never understand about you Chris is why you defend the use of lip syncing, backing tracks etc. Its inherently fake. And with what bands are charging for tickets its also a total rip off. What is the point if spending several hundred bucks to listen to a recording? You can stay home and do that. For significantly less money too. And last time I checked rock built itself on the power of live shows. The danger, the unpredictability, the way any song could be played or sung differently. With all the fakery not only are you removing the balls, the essence and the excitement of rock (because its all so programmed and planned to match the fakery), but most bands are not even honest about it. They blatantly lie about it. So if its no big deal why do they all lie about it? Because they know its BS, and that its fake. But that also means they are ripping people off. Its like going to a BBQ and being promised meat and what you are served instead is fake plant based "meat". Its just not the real thing. And if you were told you were getting meat but got that instead wouldnt you feel deceived and lied to? The sad reality is that its common usage and worse....common acceptance is how you KNOW rock is dead. At least certainly on its death bed.

As I’ve said repeatedly, for the stupid amount tickets cost, I want a great show… period. In 2013 I travelled from Ohio to Wisconsin to see Van Halen. Spent thousands of dollars. Watched 1/2 the show, and walked out 1/2 way because while authentic, David Lee Roth was intolerably bad. I would have been far more entertained to get tracks from him than the “real, warts and all” performance that was so bad it drove me out of the building. You don’t have to agree with me. If you are happier with a terrible, but authentic show, have at it. I’m not gonna agree.

I wish more bands would be this honest and call it a day when they know they can't do it anymore. They could easily go out there with lots of fakery. Lip syncing and what have you. Lots of smoke and mirrors to conceal the problems. But they are actually admitting that they can't do it anymore. And bowing out gracefully.

The Aerosmith corporation will likely miss the income and get another singer, and keep going (the Foreigner plan) - they were introducing A HELPER who was doing the tough parts according to many reports. That is more honest than what was happening with Whitesnake and Ozzy who had secret help. Daryl Hall is getting complaints, Bon Jovi trying to keep doing the endless tours from two huge albums from the 1980s. With a repaired voice. No new flood of good bands is emerging, what was the last great 1990s band, from Canada there is early Tea Party & Big Wreck, Thornley, and... NICKELBACK - perish the vile thought 🙂 Three acts with only one being known worldwide. It's a pity.

Sorry guys. I have to agree with Eddie on this one. Why would I want to pay an expensive ticket to see a band pretending to play? And using prerecorded tracks that I would have on my pad?! If a band sucks now unlike they did years ago, they shouldn’t be playing anymore. There are plenty of bands that aren’t as good as they used to be. But they’re still generally good and better than other younger band bands in their prime. Correct me if I’m wrong, but as far as I know Judas Priest isn’t using backing tracks and Rob Halford, last I checked, still sounds amazing.

There’s no right answer, as it’s personal choice. For me, I’m way more interested in a great show vs. true playing that sucks. For me, concerts are more like a movie than a baseball game.

Agree with the phone caller...after steady success in the seventies and huge with The Game I went into Tower Records in NYC wondering where my favourite band had gone ...wasn't a backlash against UK bands as Tears For Fears Wham and Genesis had big albums there but The Works was in the classic rock section.Hot Space wasn't 'Rock' enough for America but still some great tracks on it but musically yes The Works and Magic are great.

Huge fan here from the start..America never really got Queen and Freddie..they worked it hard and had a steady ascent in the seventies and had huge success with The Game 1980.I was at the last Madison Square Garden shows in 1982 and the US audience was more subdued than others and too busy throwing Bic razors at Freddie. Then they sought of became classic rock in the late eighties.Worldwide though they were huge...The Works and A kind of Magic topped the charts in 20 European countries.Fantastic band and hopefully Sony will push it to new audiences.
