I was cleaning the house when this song started. I appreciated its serenity but the melodic dip and growth after 4:23 made me stop doing everything else. There are very few songs that need no lyrics or title to convey their meaning... "River Runs Through" is the definition of the peaceful flow of a river. I know "river" is a metaphor but what you do with the guitar makes it almost literal as well. And the rhythm is a repetition of four triplets; such a gentle and intentional movement... The drummer is playing it with restraint and patience. This song is perfect. I feel as though I am listening to the Susquehanna river.

I just moved countries and left someone I was really in love with, this song helped me realize no amounts of calls or texts will ever feel the same as the warmth I felt when being with him.
