Owning land was my dream but the prices in Kent were astronomical and many restrictions on what you could actually do on "your" Land. .So I decided to pack up and leave for Spain a couple of years before brexit. .I purchased a 3 bedroom farmhouse with a parcel of fully fenced land for less than what a garage space would cost in London, Although there are restrictions on extending the footprint of the farmhouse, on the land I can pretty much do as I please as long as whatever I put there is not permanent, so a caravan, mobile home or even a container house would be ok, a permit would be needed for anything permanent which you would likely get as the government gets a lot of tax from your build..On my land I can chop down trees etc without a permit, outside my boundary , a permit would be required to fell a tree..Although I do miss the smell of the Kent countryside and the feeling of grass underfoot, this was really the only way for me to obtain land I can call my own.

Had the corridor wall been half the length the bed could have gone on the top wall in the middle and the storage gone in line with the corridor wall where the bed is now? Apart from that looks very cosy 😊

I stay for the 28 days then leave the property at 23.55 every night and stay of the property until 00.05 the next morning there for being of the property for 10 minutes but the date has changed so therefore not staying overnight so nothing council can do about it

Im going to be doing the same to my old static, they are just built so flimsy. I think I am going to build a frame around the outside of the static as it hasn't got double glazing in at the moment. Plus I can pick up used windows off Facebook MarketPlace. Im gutted my static does not have the ceiling like your static does. I am also going to put a flat sloping roof using rubber membrane and then maybe add some decking to the roof. I am also going to add a second story to the rear of the caravan for a bedroom that will be the same size as the bedroom underneath. Im just designing it in SketchUp to see what materials I need. I am just going to use 2x2 for the frame around the outside of the static and then insulation and poly-coated cladding. I think this will make the caravan super strong for when I start ripping out the interior as I've done them before and as you say they are flimsy as hell. Its the cupboards that keep them structurally sound. Your caravan turned out great. Well done

It's a 100 to 1 shot getting planning on your own land for off grid living. The main reason for it being so hard to get is they don't want you living like this.

So you dont own your land ultimately because someother body can dictate to you what you can and cannot do with your land and on it so this idea of freedom and choice is an illusion the system or matrix does not allow for it it being total freedom and choice they still want there hand in it £££££and like to control you and what you can an cant do who are they to do that if we are all free sovereign people and all equal under God.

what if you owned another property/house that you were previously living in and had as a backup during the 4 year rule? i imagine if you stopped paying council tax there they would kick off but if you said oh well I'm living in a field now you're telling on yourself. my question is if yure still paying your mrtgage/council tax elsewhere but were living in the field could they say well you've still been living there because of that even though yu haven't?

We need over 500k new dwellings per year simply to keep up with mass immigration. It's destroying the countryside and making it impossible for people to buy houses, particularly the first time buyers. Also there are masses of properties being purchased as investments that are empty.

Just reading about the field to farm. His things have changed in a year. Now councils are allowing the conversion of acres of prime agricultural land to house hundreds of solar panels. They are not concerned at all that the farm land is going out of production so it would appear that attitudes have changed re farming
