I lost my dad at age 31. He wasn't just my dad, but also my best friend. My dad died of end stage lung cancer. He was the strongest and bravest man I've ever known. I treasure all our time together and how proud he was to see me graduate high school.

i am so glad he got his wish granted, that everlasting bond is still there in his heart, he will know that he left a gigantic void in his life but as years go on and you start your life, you can tell yourkids that grandpa was a true figher that never gives up . i am just curious even though the dad was on drugs to keep the pain intact, did his father actually live past his sons actual grad date to a few weeks later, is there an update?

So heartbreaking, this reminds me of my father.. he died 8 years ago ( I was 12 ). It's so painful to watch your parent fade away, I cannot even describe the feeling.. It just brings tears. I wish he was still here, I wish he could have had the chance to see me graduate. This is just so depressing. I hope that no one will ever have to go through this. Wish the best to the family, especially to Kyle, I hope he is doing very good.
