Thanks for sharing this valuable information. It was really informative . I just wanted to know if the business analysis is required as qualification for Product Management? or Can I begin my journey as a Product Manager without having deep understanding of Business Analytics? Your video was very helpful and I am also planning for MBA at HBS and build my career in Product Management, is there any possibility that you could guide me in this path? I would also love to learn from you .

Product management is a practical role.. you need to practice the art in order to master it.. so an MBA is definitely not required, unless that’s the best way for you to learn about business skills.. set up some time on my calendar from the link on my KZbin channel page

Could you please make blueprints/ rodemap videos for Product management for people are engineers but want to transition into PM roles? There is so much content on KZbin but it’s too difficult to develop real skills. As you have very good experience can you please cumulate step by step approach and its related resources? As you mentioned there is no point in watching any random video of PM we should go in structure approach and should measure our skills

Hey Akash, just in the last video about backward storytelling you mentioned that in a business setup the recommendation or the "punchline" should be given out to the audience early and then in this you waited till the end to give out your punch line the "product-sense" skill!!! Isn't that ironic?

Hey , great video Aakash. Just one question - would you recommend someone PM fellowships like upraised or NextLeap's if someone is trying to break into product roles
@AakashMehta2 ай бұрын
I’m not familiar with those fellowships, but here’s how you should think about it: theoretical information will only help you understand the role better but won’t help you land a role.. only practical experience (side-projects, internships, 20% projects, etc) will help you break into a product role

Thanks for the good videos. I'm a developer looking for a domain to transition to in the future, but I don't want to be a PO. Does it happen most of the times that PMs should be PO? I also wanted to know if PMs ask designers to do a/b testings etc. or they should do these themeseles? I mean what tasks we could delegate? Thanks again.
@AakashMehta3 ай бұрын
PMs don’t need to be the PO.. PO is more of a scrum role rather than a business role.. A/B testing can be done by anyone depending on the tooling set up in the product

@@pelumionibokun2367 Value is relative. This video is great for people starting out in their PM journey but not for seasoned PMs. Perhaps video title can make this clear who this is aimed at. Expectation management in beginning of the video can stop such comments. Also splitting into three categories is fine, it needs further classifications like KPIs can be leading, lagging and vanity, similarly in last column, frameworks and strategies are mixed up. Again if its for newbies then this level of detail is fine. Also painted door test is also called fake door test, mechanical turk, Wizard of Oz Testing, smoke testing etc mentioning synonym terms can expand vocabulary and avoid people getting stuck when a new/different term is used instead of the one they are familiar with. Keep it up Aakash 👍🏼
