I’m right in the middle of it right now and getting the wheel well trim trees to release with pliers was near impossible. Luckily, a 5/16 socket is the perfect size to compress the tree to pop it out. Way easier than pliers. Thanks for the video. I’m sure it’ll go better now that the hardest part is done. 😂

Just saw you got the moldings over your wheels painted? Any special prep? There’s a texture on them but yours are smooth. Also, were you able to reapply with the double sided adhesive? Obviously Mercedes considers that a one-time/single use part. Thx!
@StebbinsGarageАй бұрын
I had a body shop paint them. They had to be sanded and primed multiple times to get rid of the texture. I applied new 3m tape before I reinstalled them

Hi, what is the trick in disengage the middle piece where the emergency call button resides? You mentioned that you broke a clip and I want to avoid it.
@StebbinsGarageАй бұрын
Remove the whole assembly first, and then you can angle it so you can get some needle nose pliers in there to pinch the end of the clips. The piece is pretty cheap if you need to replace it.

Thanks! The car was lowered on H&R springs. It also had 15mm wheel spacers on the factory 20" wheels. We can't get the A45 in the states so I did my best to make it look very similar. I recently sold this one and got a 22 GLA45. They have a different feel to them but I'm enjoying the new one also.
