I recently made my first board and after applying heat i got a raised bumpy area on the board that wasn't there before. It was completely flat when I started. Any idea why this would happen?

@@TalktotheHandsBK yes! Saran Wrap®️! Try not to “bunch it up” while using it. Wrap some around your finger and gently, but firmly, press and swipe wrinkles away.

@@cathykrueger4899 I just worked mine in sections and if say a spot got messed up because it was wet sitting on the paper plate or cardboard (which totally happened) I just redid that spot. Super fast no big deal. I also used my blow dryer quite a bit to speed the process along which worked great. But! I have seen people use empty egg cartons - so they would do one half of the egg, set it in the carton to dry and then flip. If I had an empty carton I would have definitely gone that route. 👍🏻👍🏻

I've been making amazing looking stencils on wood using wax paper in my printer. Attach a printer paper sized piece of waxed paper to a sheet of printer paper. That way it will run through the printer with ease. Then place the printed side of the waxed paper on the wood and scrape the paper side with a credit card. It transfers beautifully.

I wash mine with warm water a dish soap. Every so often, when the wood is looking a little dull, I re-apply my food safe finishing oil. This helps prolong the life of the board.

Anyone test the difference in burn paste and flux? I have tons of flux in the shop and the burn paste is way too expensive.

Great idea... I did this with my 17 year old daughter, it was a lot of fun to do this together and the result looks great! Also while doing this we found out that my daughter's hands (especially her palms) are still smaller than mine even though she has the same height as me 😂

Thank you so much for subscribing!! Yes, I think this bow maker is fantastic for beginners. Years ago I began a wreath making business and I had to make bows all the time. I really don't like (and I'm not very good at) making bows by hand. They never came out right and I struggled with keeping them consistent. So I tried every bow maker contraption I could find and the Pro Bow was the only one that was not only super easy, but endless options on types and sizes. The creator, @edaves1 has really great tutorials as well.
