So I guess the California "Derry Days" IT experience was a massive hit: maybe too massive. Dozens of other franchises also opened interactive experiences including a memorably complex levitating doll Exorcist house. "However do they keep that doll in the air Timmy?" "Mind if I answer out in the hall? If my memory serves she's about to sick up pea soup," anyway the South Africans bombed the show by putting really *alive* scary clowns in *their* haunted maze in the dark and basically proved that there is in fact *a line* between scary and dangerous and they sort of predictably went over it. I think less of them. Can you imagine how easy that job is? "So you just scare the people when they come through the Haunted maze?" "Yep. Really, like memorably sinister," "That's great, I'm going to bring my Jehovah's witness pamphlets as a prop." The Scream Franchise also had an interactive exhibit in New York citty- you gotta love it. With The Real Knife, in a glass case and The Real Ghostface Dolls all lined up and definitely not motion sensor robots. Except I saw it move once, and a 60 second timer: the deadly countdown-to what? "So I guess my eggs blew up in the microwave-sucks to be me!?" ...maybe a lot.

I've actually been looking around Johannesburg in South Africa which has the highest reported murder rate in the world, even more than Nicaragua in South Central America. Weirdly, Nicaragua 🇳🇮 is very small and doesn't look very populus from the tourist shots. Anyway, South Africa appears to be suffering an outbreak of faded signs. New signs are being erected...that say different things to the old signs rumours that ths whole place was a nazi tax haven funded by computer crime that began in the soviet block seems to explain how nobody English I knew ever lived there, and yet everything is written in English. It could be worse! A crew of Mexiacan students have drawn huge technicolour murals of rare hallucinogenic weirdness all over the campus buildings of University City, in South Mexico City . From the creepy enormous man eating snakes, to the nazi double-headed Eagle, the Greek Adoni being fed, naked and nubile into the the gaping blue Deadlights of the university library, Mexico Universities are unsettling in silence, and nobody has signed their so-adventurous Murals. At least it is not the cartel! We reassure ourselves. University is a place where young adults take their first steps into what they believe to be the real world, it would be criminal to kidnap them all in the dorms and hold them hostage in the middle of creepy-jungle-nowhere. ...except the sign looks as hand painted as the murals in the city.
