Does anyone know where I can buy the charger to this separately? I lost mine and I’m having a hard time finding the correct charger on Amazon . Thank you!

Does the autosense technobabble work for anyone? I've never seen mine change its vacuum speed. Also some things to note: - The charger included is a slow charger, likely it'll protect the battery's lifespan but it takes a while to charge, so I consider it an overnight charger. - Runtime is very lacking, with the stick attachment at maximum suction mode I don't think I've had it exceed ~25min before the batteries are dead. - Pretty easy to clean, make sure you reassemble the vacuum with the flap on the container closed, else the collected material will spill back out.

Dear B&D: Thank you for making this video. Today I happened upon a brand new, never-opened WM125 that my dad apparently purchased around 2007, then attempted to assemble it. Between the enclosed assembly instructions, which are AWFUL, and also INCORRECT based on this video, and coping with multiple manufacturing defects, I've put nearly 2 hours into it so far. And all I've accomplished is attaching the braces to the legs. I wish I'd thought sooner to look online for help. But frankly, given the quality I've observed so far, it never occurred to me this thing would still be in production with help resources available online. A couple of questions from my experience thus far: 1) WHY, in the 21st century, are we still using flat head screws?? Were B&D engineers not yet aware of phillips head technology in 2007? Was there some factor that rendered phillips heads impossible for this product? Or is there some advantage to flat head screws that I'm unaware of? 2) WHY would you make a threaded knob out of PLASTIC?? Knobs by definition are for turning, and anyone intellectually capable of tying their own shoes could reasonably anticipate that the WM125's knobs will be turned often and turned tight every time. PLASTIC threaded knobs for this, really? I've already stripped the PLASTIC threads in one of the locking knobs following the very first assembly step. It would have helped if the enclosed instructions mentioned the spacer, and I couldn't turn it tight enough that it wouldn't slip. Now I'll need to go to a hardware store to get a metal wingnut to correct B&D's quality error and make the product work. Gosh that's annoying! 3) How many units were produced with misshapen braces that required power tools to make them fit on the legs and align the holes?? Or did you assme someone purchasing this product would have the tools and skills needed to work around the shoddy manufacturing? I'm going back out to my garage now to give this thing another shot. Hopefully with the benefit of this video (for which I am truly grateful), I'll manage to put this thing together and make it work despite B&D's quality lapses. In 40 years of purchasing tools and other products, I've chosen B&D products over and over because I've always perceived B&D to be a good, quality brand. Today I question whether my perception is still accurate. Given that my WM125 was purchased more than 3 decades after the product's 1973 launch, that should have been enough time to get it right. I'm very curious, if I bought one today, would it have the same problems?? Hard to say, but I'll certainly think twice about choosing B&D products from now on.

@@TLCTugger Once I found out it wasn't possible to detach the powerhead, I ended up almost getting a similar model instead: BSV2020 I was at first contemplating checking out used ones for parts and just sawing off the powerhead and making the tube look nice. 😄 I was this close. The powerhead on the BSV2020 though is removable. I ended up wanting to find one also with the ability to use a HEPA filter with it though, so I put a pause on that one too. I then decided to call up Black & Decker and tell them my dilemma. They then suggested the following model instead: BDXHHV005G I barely got the time to check it out a few minutes ago, but then just saw that you replied back, so figured I would give you an update. Well if you can work around it then that's great. 😊👍 If in the future though you end up changing your mind, then at least now you can see some similar options. I'm gonna check out the BDXHHV005G online right now and see how that one lines up in comparison. Bye for now. 🙋
