Approximately 8% of natural organic fertilizers are bioavailable as it takes 4 months for the natural fertilizer to be broken down and readily absorbable your best bet would be to mix that in during the fall after you've harvested everything so that when it comes time to plant again in the spring the organic fertilizers bioavailable. I use both types of fertilizer organic and and they're ready to use chemical kind.

Mesh must have to be 10 inches under the ground, otherwise snakes will go under. Also, the mesh is good for around 2 years and make sure there is not trees around for the snakes to climb. It is very difficult to keep this animals away. Good luck!

Does the pectin thicken it up a lot? I don’t want it to be like jelly, I like it a bit runny
@gardenhofosho
@gardenhofosho 3 ай бұрын
it does thicken the jam quite a bit, if you prefer a runnier jam I would reduce the amount of pectin or use a natural method such as green apple.

Oh my gosh. Thank you for this video ❣️❣️❣️ I inherited my father’s house and he was a hoarder. There is no money to pay someone for the improvements so that means I do it lol. I find my anxiety is triggered every time I encounter something gross or disgusting and need to clean it to move forward. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed.
@gardenhofosho
@gardenhofosho 4 ай бұрын
You are not alone! That sounds like a situation most people would feel overwhelmed by, so remember to give yourself credit for bravely moving forward with this difficult task. It's not easy, and your anxiety is completely valid. One thing I like to do when I feel overwhelmed is breaking down big tasks or things I don't want to do into smaller more managable items in checklist format. That way you get a hit of dopamine when you cross something off the list and it will help you feel like you're making progress. Slow and steady steps forward is still progress. If you need additional support I would reccomend researching estate wholesalers in your area who can help you get rid of things you don't need. You might also be able to find someone who provides cleaning services free of charge to people in need (specifically hoarding situations). There are several accounts on social media that specialize in this. I'm so glad you found this video helpful, and I'm sending you all the good vibes you need to tackle this project!

Can I ask why you have your drill set to hammer mode?
@gardenhofosho
@gardenhofosho 6 ай бұрын
because my drill sucks and that's the only setting that has enough torque to get through the hickory. If you have a good drill use that, I'm just making do with what I've got.

They can climb through wooden fence. Snakes cant climb to smooth surface. Please use steel , plastic, tiles, polycarbonate sheet fence
@gardenhofosho
@gardenhofosho 6 ай бұрын
the 1/8" iron mesh is too small for even baby snakes to climb or get through. Since the steel mesh is on the outside of the fence running in a continuous stretch, I'm not concerned about them climbing the wood. We have had the mesh up for over a year now and we have not seen any snakes on our property since we installed it so it appears to be working.

Going up the stairs on the right side you should put a glass wall looking down into the living space! Would look beautiful and open up the space!
@gardenhofosho
@gardenhofosho 8 ай бұрын
Hey Steven, I'm not quite sure what you mean by this. The right side of the stairs is already open to the living space. I'm planning on installing thin iron balusters to keep the space feeling as open as possible. If you're referring to the wall on the left, there's a closet and a bathroom on the other side of the wall so I'll be keeping that as is. In terms of the wall across from the stairs on the right side, that goes to the kitchen which we do plan to remove at some point.

I Can't understand why take out the stairs??? it wasn't garbage until you ripped it up, money to burn
@gardenhofosho
@gardenhofosho 8 ай бұрын
Structurally, the stairs were in really poor condition and needed to be replaced. I respect your opinion that you wouldn't spend money on a project like this, because home reno is not for everyone. However, creating beautiful spaces is something I'm passionate about. DIY allows me to design the home of my dreams, while staying within a reasonable budget. I always do a cost breakdown at the end of my projects, so check back in a few weeks if you're interested to learn more about construction budgeting.

Do we have to put the jar in boiling water once again after filling it up with jam?
@gardenhofosho
@gardenhofosho 9 ай бұрын
Yes, this is called water canning or a water bath. It pressurizes the contents of the jar giving it a longer shelf life. You will also want to sterilize the jars & lids in boiling water before filling them.

Why would you pay for soil testing when you can just put soil from your yard into a plastic bag or a paper bag or anything take it down to the farm extension near you they're everywhere in the country literally they're everywhere around me there's got to be three of them within 10 miles. They will not only test your soil they will tell you the results they will tell you how to fix it they will tell you what to put in it and what to buy to fix it. Why would you pay for that must be a Republican to think that you have to pay for everything instead of using the government and all of its resources for what it has. Which is slowly being taken away from all you people by the way by the GOP The same stupid party that literally started the civil war and then tried to start a second one on January 6th Why on earth would you pay for this kind of information when we still have some sort of a government intact after that idiot orange emperor Trump

Of COURSE, many ladies can easily tell the difference in those colors. But we should also be respectful because there are areas of expertise our spouses have that we do not. This skit is a joke, and my husband was in on it. The audio is a clip from the show Parks and Rec. The joke is that all the shades of black do in fact look essentially the same. I have nothing but love and respect for my husband. One of the things I love most about our relationship is our ability to laugh at ourselves and goof off together.
