I was just in Warsaw couple months ago. Polish is my native language abd yes it is difficult as hell unless you grew up with it or you are from one of the Slavic countries. However Warsaw is rther easy city for tourists - English signs are everywhere, on buses, trams, metro etc. Menues in the restaurants. Many younger people speak English. And for what it is worth your pronunciation is not bad - you have good ears - you should have no issues being understood. Good luck.

Once you learn the varieties, they simplify many things and become more understandable, precise and unambiguous in defining a given state without any misunderstandings or guesswork.

8:25 hey, your video is as entertaining to me - born in Poland - as it is to all your friends and family … Because Poland is as diverse as Germany or the Great (by name) Britain. I mean it,iterally two hours on the teain land you in a different culture and a dialect that may sound Pokish, but has a very different day to day vocabulary.

4:35 stop trying to "learn". Instead, learn "by acquisition", meaning just let go amd collect waht yiu can every day. Source: me ;)

Generally, rz and sz do not sound the same because rz is read like ż. These are some of the letters that are used depending on the grammatical rule, for example there are U and Ó which sound the same, there are Ż and RZ which also sound the same But of course, in words sometimes this rule does not work the same way as in English

Nouns are inflected to reflect their role in a sentence. Subject versus direct object versus indirect object et c. This exists in English. Me, myself, I, and mine. All four words are first person singular but spelled differently to reflect meaning. There’s also noun gender so it’s tough. 😢
