Growing up in Tralee, behind our house was a lane way where all the backs of our garden sheds met , our lovely neighbour had an Irish dancing class in her shed ( tax free of course say nothing) my sisters and every girl in our neighbourhood attended,.But when ever i or my brothers or cousins were bold ... our mothers would say " thats it ,ye were warned ,tomorrow im buying dresses for ye and yer joining Mrs o Donell for lessons!!!!! We'd scream Nnoooooooooooo

I've Seen it as child - think around 25 years ago - in Germany with my Dad. Must be 1998 or 1999. That was the Moment when my Love for Ireland began and I really wanted to see the country myself. I watched the show on VHS so often and danced one part for carneval myself. This year 2024 I was finally able to fulfill one of my biggest live Dreams and travelled to Ireland!!! Tomorrow (Nov. 30th 2024) we will see Riverdance live again. In the place where everything started. 🥲🥹

Watching in 2024 ☺. I remember seeing this in '95 on PBS. My family couldn't get enough of THAT SOUND!! It still thrills all of us to this day. My boys were 3 and 7 when it came out and they fell in love with the ballerina and the singing angel ❤.

Has anyone noticed the Haarlem dancers (if that’s their correct name 😬) have been cut out of this yet they appear in the line up in the end?

My daughters and I watched it so many times we lost count! It’s the most brilliant and beautiful show I’ve ever seen!
