I got offered a job at Autonation Dodge Ram and also at a local family owned dealer . Autonation pays commission on the profit of the deal and the local dealer has a flat rate of $500 for each car wich increases to $600 after 10 cars . Does anyone know wich one might be more convenient? . I’m brand new to this business

The honest reason why people are bothered by e-bikes nobody seems to have the guts to say is simple: bitterness. These are fast, expensive, fun and easy to ride. People either wish they could have one or feel like they’re privy to the trail because they have to pedal/walk and we don’t. The reality is, if you’re having fun doing something different than others, especially when they can’t do the same activity you are, it bothers people. The answer is go about your day having fun, don’t hurt anybody, and let them sit in their dark emotions. You’re responsible for riding safely, not for how people choose to feel about you.

From what I’ve seen online, most dealerships don’t require a certificate. It will help your resume, but overall it’s not required. Hey brother, just bought mine yesterday, I have a really simple question I can’t seem to find the answer for… On the gauge , there is to little arrows, one going up one going down…when you press them, it switches the number in the bottom right of the gauge, to 1-4 depending on what you set it on…what exactly is that & what is it doing when I’m riding when I change the numbers around?

2 months at Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram (CDJR), at 9 sales so far. we have construction in our area slowing business down but we get our fair share still. anyway, all i can say is just do it man. kind of pick up on what everyone else does first, practice. and just go for it. it only gets easier. what doesn’t get easier is listening to other salesman’s pockets getting filled. you’re your own businessman. best of luck and God bless!

If you want to make $100k you have to do your own marketing. Unfortunately the amount of traffic your dealership gets, how many other sales people there is will dictate how many "ups" you get and opportunity to interact with customers. Every dealership I worked at the guys that sold $100k worth of commissions was always a senior employee because they have the largest customer base. So if you're a noob you gotta generate your own customer base through different forms of marketing. You are going to have to attract your own customers that will show up and ask for you.

I’m a very good customer to car salespeople. I always walk in knowing exactly what interest rate I’m approved for so that the dealer doesn’t make 1-2% more interest off me by quoting me a higher rate than what my bank actually approves me for. I convince them that this is good for me and make them feel proud of the fact that they couldn’t take me. I also know the invoice price of the vehicles I’m looking at and exactly how much dealer holdback is involved. I also check comps of the car and options and what it typically sells for in my region. I’m very generous and I allow the dealership to make no more than $500 on the sale. If they don’t take it, I just go to the next dealer until I get what I want. When discussing the math with the finance manager, unfortunately the finance manager typically doesn’t make any money off me because I know the real costs of all the packages they are trying to sell me and what the real value is. I’m generous, I could easily start buying cars at auction price if I wanted to, but this way I’m giving a lil to the economy and throwing $500 in the pool like a good contributing member of society. I’ll sell a car salesman’s own shoes back to them (at a mark up)if it came down to it but just because you can mind boggle someone due to high intelligence doesn’t mean you should. These guys need to make a living also, so be nice, let them make $500 off you. It puts them one more car closer to their monthly # and helps them make their monthly spiff. I always pay the car off in record time so that the banks make minimal profit. Banks love me and the minimal amount they make since my money doesn’t go to .5% saving accounts for them to make money on me when I have it in the market making 10%+ off it. All in a days work.
