How many times did you shoot that doe ? Seeing two holes on the same side ... One is in the ribs & other is in the ham .... Looking at the cut in the ribs , it would of blown through the other side ....

This crossbow is not good for me, there is 3 major problems and that doesn't fit my need. Can't find a case for it, the limb kept on breaking, (replace 3x) still no good. The arrow rest not hold up the arrow while shooting, very annoying. Also quiver can only hold arrows. Owned one for 9 months return for full refund. I prefer Barnett vengeance over the Axe405, tenpoint rs440 is good enough for my needs.

Not telling you what to do but leaving a short piece of zip ties sticking up after it's cut off is a accident waiting to happen, especially if their cut at an angle it's worst. They will cut the he'll out of you. Trim them flush or take a lighter and melt down anything sticking up and that will prevent alot of pain later. Good luck with you poles.

I didn’t hear you say anything about using a surfactant with your Roundup. If you put one half cup of Dawn dishwashing liquid to a tank of 25 gallons of water, you will find that the chemical will adhere to the weed surface a lot better and will perform a a lot better success rate. Try it. It’s cheap.

Im not surprised by the ammo results. That grease/oil on Euro 22lr ammo leaves a residue in the barrel and it seems to make a difference in accuracy. The Norma Tac-22 is made by RWS in Germany and is high quality stuff for the price. I have a CZ 457 MTR that regularly groups RWS ammo into sub .4" groups at 52 yards. Rarely over 1" at 100 yards. Occasionally even .25" at 52 yards. I recently used that ammo/rifle combo to make regular hits on a 10" plate at 200 and 300 yards. Of course this is with a rifle that cost as much as 9 Rossi RS22s. The Norma/RWS ammo shoots well in a lot of rifles. I've yet to see copper plated 22lr actually group well with regularity.

Shooting the Rossi while resting a hand across the barrel will skew results. I too have an RS 22 and a Ruger 10/22, among a host of others, love them both. 22LR's are always ammo sensitive, but when shooting off of a solid bench at 50yds. both are fairly even with the ammo that each prefers with the Rossi actually having a slight edge in spite of the much lower cost of the Rossi. And yes the Win. ammo you used is not a favorable choice in anything I own. Thanks for putting this out, always interesting to see what others are achieving with theirs!

You could have enhanced your safety markedly, by wearing some eye protection (even sunglasses will help). Also, long sleeves and a hat. If someone got a burning ember in their eye, it could be life changing / ruining!

I just bought a 248F so we'll see if the fabricated deck holds up better. It was a bit more money over the stamped deck but I'm hoping it'll be worth it. It should do, I'm replacing a Kubota GR2000 which has a stamped deck and I never had any problems with it. The Kubota is a great tractor, especially the 4 wheel drive, but it's just too darn expensive to repair, and it's significantly more complicated than other lawn tractors (plus it's 25 years old). Most shops won't touch them so you have to go to a Kubota dealer and they charge dealer rates, "book" hours, and the same shop rate they change for the big equipment. So what I did was buy just the clutch and bearing, put them in myself (which took a while! But I'm slow.), and bought a new 248F for the same money the dealer wanted to charge me for a new transaxle (the clutch is in the transaxle on the GR series, and for some reason the dealer thought I should replace the whole thing rather than just the clutch even though it drives fine). So now I have an old GR2000 that I will use for snow removal and "tractor" things, and a new 248F zero turn for the same price!

I found similar results from sled (tighter groups) Rossi, marlin 60, 10/22 (wood stock and synthetic). with CCI standard velocity led nose they all were shockingly accurate at 25 yards. I ran all of them through 25 and 50 with CCI mini mags, Standard Velocity, Federal Blue Box, Winchester 42-grain hollow points, and Aguila interceptors. accuracy was always in this order: Marlin Model 60, Rossi RS 22, 10/22 wood stock, 10/22 synthetic. Without fail. All of them hated the Aguila interceptors. Malfunctions: Ruger synthetic had 2 FTE. That was it. Good vid

I am a big fan (no pun intended) of utilizing the BACKFIRE technique more so than the HEAD FIRE. A backfire burns slower and more completely, and is also SAFER! A head fire, especially in grass, can sweep through so quickly that a lot of debris is not burned. The one advantage of a fast moving head fire is that it is less likely to damage your desirable shrubs and trees. Just my opinion.
