Apple fanboy needs a reality check on tech... You can't talk about tech when you've just used Apple products and software. All the customisation that was available probably more than a decade on other devices, Apple managed to "reinvent" it and made it "uniquely" for their OS. Buy a cheap android phone, see how many "unique" features you find on those phones that Apple still doesn't provide even if the majority of the consumers have experienced them in other ways. Thank you for reading my rant, I'm so over with this kind of people.

Current AI is not going to replace developers. Future AI will replace everyone. Who it will replace along the way is uncertain but developers are not the ones that will be last. I am not happy about this. I am a full stack developer. It doesn't mean this is not true.

Thing with ai is someone needs to know how to fix it, and with how ai currently works it bases it off of existing code. If it makes new code, it’s going to have some lines that don’t work which we will say will get patched out as it tests all the code it produces. But if that code stops working the ai doesn’t have human examples to work on how to fix it as it is something new it hasn’t seen before

Remember in the 1970s people worked 40h per week and PC were going to reduce this workload to give people more free time. We now have computers everywhere and we work 60h a week

All the people who say this disregard the fact that the minimum knowledge required to do jobs that are useful for society is rising rapidly. This all started with digitalization as that was a fundamental shift in our evolution / development. The example from before is just not feasible because we are not dealing with that level of change where you go from applying basic physics to still applying basic physics. All the basic stuff will be handled by the computer.

The amount of contractors (plumbers, HVAC, electricians, etc...) who can't get to my house simply because they used apple maps instead of google maps is high!!! Apple has amazing products. Macbooks are awesome. iPhones are awesome. But not everything apple is good. Apple maps great example of this!
