With hundreds of people shown in this clip, mostly in bathers/swimmers l noticed very few overweight people. Lack of junk food & actuality walking.

2019. I was delivering groceries for the red supermarket and had to deliver to an apartment up on the hill. It was pretty sad to see how greed had wiped an icon from our skyline.

29:00 I was living the hippy lifestyle up in Far North Queensland in Cedar Bay when Cloudland was murdered. I was in Cooktown one day and saw the headlines in the newspaper. As I said in a previous comment, I cried. Some of you may remember the bjelke led raid of Cedar Bay in 1976. He was a tyrant. We wre raided in 82 as well, under the pretence of searching for some rogues who had warrants. It was an interesting day. Feds, as well as local police and soldiers. Yes. Soldiers. They came in on rubber duckies from a navy ship at dawn.

23:20 We used to catch the train from Strathpine to Bowen Hills and then walk up the hill. It was a hike, but worth it. Oh, I sometimes went up there just to look around in the daytime. The two times I went for an event were at night. I was particularly interested in the old gardens. In their prime, they would have been special.

I went to Cloudland twice in the late 70s. Once for Cold Chisel, and I can't remember the other event. Some award ceremony. When Bjelke and the Dean Brothers killed that icon, I cried. I was so angry. My mother (I'm near 61) would tell me stories of ballroom dances and Deb balls, and rock and roll dances. That building contained many memories, all desyroyed for greed

Apologies for the audio quality in this archival record. The distortion is due to the age of the film. At Queensland State Archives, we store records in specialised repositories and maintain them as best as we can. However, the condition of records can vary, impacting quality. Thank you for your understanding!

Back when roads were just built. Now government spends twice as much on 'consultants' and 'studies' before anyone starts a dozer. Takes 3 times as long to build half as much road for your money 60 years later 😂

I didn't know when the expressway was built until now. I do remember them building the flyover from the riverside expressway onto Hale street and soon after the go between bridge from Hale / corro drive across to South brisbane. It's crazy to think we used to drive along the riverside expressway at the end of a hard day at work then wait at traffic lights to turn right into Hale . This meant stopping traffic out of Coronation drive to let us all turn right. It used to back up so far. Surprisingly enough, these days the overpass backs up.

Why is their still silent recordings done in the 1970s?. They had had video cameras that recorded sound for the best part of 20yrs at that point.

It was about a metre tall (although I do not carry measuring tape). This creature was within 1.5 metres of me. It was close. It had a bipedal, Velociraptor/ T-Rex like body (it was on two legs, it was not hopping like a kangaroo, it had two arms and appeared to be holding something in its hands) it had a human shaped and sized head. The entire face of this head, and the only noticeable features on this head were these two large black oval eyes covering the entire face. An analogy- imagine a human head, but the eye sockets extend from the forehead line to the line of the jaw bone covering the entire face with these two large black eyes. I did not see, and could not make out a mouth, a nose, ears, or hair. It had a tail. When its head first popped out its body was more upright, as it increased jogging speed it leant forward). It appeared to use the tail for balance. It did not break eye contact. This creature snuck up on me and stared me down. This entire scene had lasted only for around 5 seconds. This strange being of fauna/ creature/ I have no idea what it was (a crazy person fucking knows what it was (people are super smart). 3 years, 8 months ago. It did not have noticeable scales, feathers, or hair. It appeared to have black skin. The only colour of this creature was black. Although it was seen at night, and I do not have the ability to make out colours, it did appear to be the one black colour. Even the eyes were black. Vibes/my feelings Described by words and phrases. Intelligent (looked and acted like a nerdy human) smarter than me, it did sneak up on me. 2. Tourist vibes- this creature was keen, and interested. It behaved like a scientific academic of aJapanese tourist
