As Atma holds the unlimited knowledge as Paramatma. Paramatma is complete and so is the Atma. Thus, know the Atma within and become Purna or complete. Even if Atma is residing in our body.... It is Purna or complete like the Paramatman. Upon merging with Paramatman... It will be free from birth and death cycles.... It will be in the Eternal State. No joy nor sorrow.... In an Eternal balanced state. Atma is one.... As it is part of Paramatman.... Everything in the world is unreal and only one reality is Paramatma. Atma is part of Paramatman and it is also the only Reality. We as body, mind and intellect... Start living with vasanas and attachments, pull the Atma to many births and deaths. Body, mind, intellect and senses work with the Atma. As it is the life. But Atma is free from BMI and senses. As these depend on Atma but Atma does not depend on these.... It is Eternal and free. Atma is tranquil as it free from all the joys and sorrows of the world. As it does not do anything and is ever balanced.... It is at peace all the time. With ignorance, we are not able to differentiate between BMI and Atma. We think this body as Atma. On the spiritual path with spiritual knowledge , when we become aware of Atma....
