Looks great! We're trying to decide between a fully loaded 2018 V8 Supercharged vs a 2022 X7. They're two very different vehicles but we're having a very hard time deciding which direction to go.... Would love to hear your insight.
@executiveblack4032 ай бұрын
@@yutinglin I have both right now I have a 2021 X7 M50i. It depends what you are looking for? For long drives I prefer the RR for street driving and speed I like the X7. Which is your preference?
@yutinglin2 ай бұрын
@@executiveblack403 we rented a 2021 X7 for a couple of weeks and took a 5 hour road trip in between, was a great ride and drive. The vehicle is very dynamic, hugs the road and the steering was very precise. This past week we spent a few hours driving in town and on highways in the 2018 RR V8. The interior is unmatched. X7 is nice but RR is on another level. Ride was very comfortable, but different, floaty. It’s definitely doesn’t drive as well as the X7, performance and response, but still a great drive. Our motive is to purchase for long road trips. So we’re torn, sometimes it’s nice to drive a vehicle that’s dynamic and control is at your fingertips. Alternatively sometimes you just want to float your way across highway 40 in the an elegant interior. Right now, we’re leaning towards RR. X7 seems a bit flashy. Folks know RR but it doesn’t scream flash IMO. Just feels more “mature” and fitting for middle age couple with kid. 🤷….
@executiveblack4032 ай бұрын
@@yutinglin Are you getting the BMW X7 40 V6? The BMW is definitely a great ride and performs excellent…don’t underestimate the RR in dynamic mode it’s got a lot of umph! RR’s need to be babied in terms of oil changes and maintenance. Always do everything ahead of schedule and be sure to clean injectors, replace all filters and change plugs earlier than planned maintenance. If you do annual full maintenance every year you will never have an issue with an RR. Do the same for the BMW. If you can use AMSOIL for your oil very, very good on avoiding engine wear.
@yutinglin2 ай бұрын
@@executiveblack403 Yes looking at the i40 v6. The B58 engines have performed quite well and I think the V8 will be too much power, especially for my wife. However, the RR we're looking to purchase is a V8 which as you know, instantaneous power. BTW, it has 21k miles and 2018. That said, I 100% agree with you, I think all cars should avoid manufacturer suggested maintenance cadence, especially oil / filter change at 10k miles. For all my cars, regardless if it's a hybrid Camry daily runner or Mercedes long hauler, 5000 miles oil, filter change, transfer case 30k, etc. I think some folks stretch their wallets for the RR "status" and maintain it on a shoestring budget, then run into issues. I think you just have to exercise common sense with vehicles loaded with tech. BTW, did you purchase extended warranty? Thank you for sharing your insights, really appreciate it!
