What code lead is it in this video? I imagine this would be difficult using code four. I really struggle with code four lead and will occasionally burn through, especially on corner details. I tend not to even attempt welding anything less than code 5. Do you think I’m at a disadvantage by always using a No.2 nozzle. Would I find it easier with a No.3 nozzle with less heat? I’ve always struggled with my welding and im in awe at your skill. Great videos.

Sorry for the delay, its code 4 lead. Visit www.leadworx.com for more information.

Lovely tidy welding in all of your videos. I’ve been at it for quite a few years albeit not everyday and still find it very challenging. I find it particularly difficult with a welding rod. And have to manoeuvre whatever I’m welding so I’m welding onto a flat surface at all times. You can imagine how difficult that makes it.

You're not burning it, you're melting it. And to weld steel, you do what? Melt it together 🤓

the hospital where I worked, had sheet lead on the walls, the floor and the ceiling, to stop the X-rays travelling through the building.
@daibhiseaghdha1533 жыл бұрын
I learnt lead burning back in the early 70's, at the Brixton school of building, just make sure there is no air gaps, or it drops through, and scrape the sheet lead with a shave hook to remove the oxidised surface on the sheet lead, before you start, unless it's nice clean like yours, were you using oxy- acetylene with a " BOC model O " torch, nice bit of work, do you do a demo' of vertical lead burning ?

@sambick76443 жыл бұрын
I’ve been lead working for a year and just started to learn welding. I’m currently practising In my shed with a oxyturbo jet pack. It’s more difficult because the flame can be inconsistent, my boss has assured me that if you can weld with them it’ll be easy with the proper oxygen acetylene model O setup. Just keep practising and I wish you all the best mate👍

@@Leadworx00 that’s what I thought. Any time I’ve tried not scraping it the weld just doesn’t stick. It looks like you’ve got quite a bit of heat going there. Maybe that’s the secret?
