Can't TP Cavern Dweller with Shade unfortunately

Only played against the Nightstalkers once with some Marauders and all I can say is CLOSE COMBAT GLASS CANNONS. Not necessarily all of them but overall I think it fits against that particular list

Also one thing I'd like to mention: Graves Pistol was wrong (he has Weight of Fire 1 not Rapid FIre) and in a early version the Hellhound was missing the Specimen in it's name. So you can keep the hounds in line or even boom them!

I believe the idea with 'Taking over Control' is that it splits your list into Specimen and non-Specimen units. You can kill you own non-Specimen units, essentially giving you the ability to deny your opponent those 9 VPs (and only get to use 901's Tactician value, while removing Rampage from all Specimen units save the Aberration). Any Specimen models killed while this Specialized Operation is in play would still give your opponent VPs for those 12 VP's worth of profils (+1 for each spawned Hellhound). Not sure how good this would actually be, very thematic though. Looking forward to building these guys, plus the Eiras Contract. Loving that the Star Saga collection is getting a bit of love after all these years!

Just something about charged: charged only gives you +1 on your move, not on your sprint stat. So you can't move 4 cubes with it, that would be insane :) but it negates being pinned or you could still shoot and move 3 cubes for example (or use medic and move 3 Cubes)

This one really makes me wish I had access to a 3D printer, hopefully we'll get a Volt Charger sprue somewhere down the line!

i do think pathfinders should all get prey with the TAG rifle, but prey should be nerfed to only last one round.

Got me thinking about Blaine sculpts again, there was also a Coach model from Dreadball Xtreme, a merc from Mars Attacks and both a metal and plastic peacekeeper armour variant. Always had the silly idea of one day converting the lot and putting them into a custom Deadzone team, may have to actually do that one of these days. ;-)

The Eiras Contact is a bunch of C-D tier models that are elevated a rank higher thanks to their spec ops. This army fully depends on Plot Armor so Best Meds is indeed the best ability and there must be something really convincing to choose anything else. Hornet Drop is nice if you won recon, less useful if you go second but really versatile nonetheless. The last 2 are the most situational but at least you have now answer for both gunlines and heavy armor spam.

This tank is genuinely one of the worst builds I've ever done in regards to the tracks.

OK, so it's gonna be a series? I'm all for it :) Now, the Scourge does not spark joy... Not that it's bad but that you could make a much stronger list from the vanilla list. Also I think waterforming is way too unreliable when compared to jellyflesh or the extra scout move. But I agree w your take on the rampage one.

This is one of my favorite custom strike team - even though the spec order is not stellar. It has fun, flair and enough redundancy that one mistake won't kneecap your entire game.

Love your overview series, keep.it up! As for the Expendables, that's quite a ridiculous order - and I mean, ridiculously good. E.g. a Zombie unit: 6" advance, then trigger Neuro chip during their own activation, with an invigorating drone you get a whooping 27" threat range!

the elves came first. the zombies wear diapers the skeleton revenants are just skeletons with a feather. dwarf beards. Then the first goblins arrived. So bad they made them twice!

I haven’t tried it yet but I think next time I play veer myn I’m going to try two tunnelers with 20 capacity and start them on the table, shove them up and unload a ton of cheap troops just for fun 😅

Don’t forget the magic number is 3. For things like jet bikes, monocycles, peacekeepers, drones, anything like that. If you max the unit at 4 for example, the opponent has to kill 2 and can cause a breaking nerve check. If you take 3 they will still have to kill 2 but at least you aren’t losing 2 guys on a nerve test .

I love the Chovar and its ability to hurt high armor infantry is awesome but if you think about it, it’s 5+ so roughly 4 hits per shooting action, and most high armor infantry is stuff like forge fathers and enforcers who have good nerve. So realistically you’re doing maybe 2 or so wounds which is great but not gamebreaking. I do think it’s strongest asset is no LoS though l, that’s really powerful. Love the run down, keep it up!

Can we talk about how ridiculous it is to have "high velocity ammo" for a laser rifle? That's not how that works, Mantic. Call it overcharge or something, at least.

Really, though, can you imagine ignoring AP on shots against your Armour 9, Heavy Armour Sturmhammer? I know people that would flip the table over that one.
