A friend of mine made this recently and added chocolate chunks to this recipe....honestly it was divine I dont like chocolate that much I mean I couldnt eat a bar of chocolate but really adding the chocolate to the bread pudding with the fruit and dried fruit took it to another level.

Hey! There is no egg in the cake - but there is in the buttercream!

@@BakingWithElliott ah I see. Seen a few chocolate cakes without eggs, what is the reason, is it supposed to change the texture?
@BakingWithElliott21 күн бұрын
@@gtqn1425 For me, I just had leftover ingredients from one cake and made this cake egg free - for others it can dietary requirements, religious considerations or just personal preference. It doesn't make too much of a difference with my recipe but others I have used in the past its slightly different in texture

A few questions please. How can we ensure the top and sides of the cake dont go crispy (compared to the rest of the cake) How can you ensure equal size cake and equal rise? Sometimes mine come out slanted for some reason. Amazing by the way. Love how u get straight to the point
@BakingWithElliottАй бұрын
Good morning! Thank you for the questions - I’ve never had too many issues with the cake being more crispy around the top/sides. I would possibly check your oven is running at the correct temperature and adjust if needed - also don’t be afraid to mix the butter and sugar together, this will also help massively. If it helps, my cakes aren’t perfectly level either, I correct that by levelling/trimming them so they’re pretty much equal and level Thank you so much, really appreciate that a lot! If you have any recipes you’d like to see, please let me know 👍

@BakingWithElliott Well I made it. And I must say it's amazing. That buttercream is so nice. Never made a buttercream like that before but I swear it tastes exactly like a Ferrero rocher. My cake went a bit wrong but that wasn't a fault of your recipe, It's my annoying cake tins which I am officially chucking out today. They are those detachable ones and the batter leaked through so ended up with thin cake. But got to make do with what we have. Will be digging into it tomorrow with the family for the celebrations and from what I have tasted of the cake the buttercream etc I know its going to taste amazing. ❤❤ xxx

I love this twist on slutty brownies. My mom used to make the traditional ones with the chocolate chip cookies and Oreos. I'm feeling inspired to do another version too. Thanks Elliott, delicious as always!

Hi, Elliott! That blondie looks great! Swirling in the caramel spread was a great idea, as was adding the Stroop waffles. I've realized I didn't have enough ingredients before as well, so I know what it's like to rearrange or reposition things. Those look amazing! I wish you could teleport one to me lol. Along with the Split Cream Doughnut and Chocolate Éclair, there were awesome growing up in Solihull. Every cake shop used to have them but the last time I had one it was from Greggs. It's a wonder that they stopped being made because they were always popular.
