The biggest difference i see with US cops is, they approach the suspect driver guns drawn, very aggresive unlike the british cops who are very polite always and aggressive when its highly necessary.

What do they mean by "followed the evidence?" They did everything but follow the evidence. Arrested 4 innocent people in which one of them died in custody probably due to their advanced age and withdrawals. Im from the states and I wanted to watch this to understand what its like in other countries but man now im thankful for our laws here because it's completely nuts that they arrested 4 innocent people and gave them charges instead of just talking to them before an arrest. Also people over there are a lot smarter than the people here cause ive been watching all kinds of episodes and almost every person said no comment when asked a bunch of questions. Self snitching is a bad habit here in the states.

Attempting an overtake in an early 2000s Micra that can barely overtake a pushbike lol. Also ratchet straps about 6 quid each and last for ages. Or if you want to go one up you install ringbolt rails to your flatbed and use cargo straps. I worked in Airport Cargo for BA can't remember how long a strap could be used for before it becomes US (if it doesnt get damaged first - and they rarely do) but I think it's 2-3 years before it becomes U/S. In reality that is CAA/IATA regulations being strict as well as BA being one of the strictest airlines, those straps are good for more like 6 years+. 70 quid for straps that'll last 7 years and a score for ring bolt rails that'll last the life of the vehicle or killing a mother and her 2 kids because to save a few quid... do the right thing. Also that driver should have gotten points for that. The cloned white peugeot probably had radar or radio so he likely knew they were onto him and stayed put or hid/parked up somewhere away. They were a bit harsh with the Irish lad to be fair he shouldn't be driving that kind of vehicle at his age and that's why he was too wide on that turn it's hard for experienced drivers of big vehicles, but he complied with all requests, was honest and polite should have been a 'stop being a twat' and an 'off you go then'.

For those wondering what the point is when drivers with no licence get a disqualification, yes, it doesnt stop them doing the same thing again and looks pointless on paper because how can you ban someone that didn't have a licence in the first place. But that's not the point of it, the point of it is dangerous driving with no licence is still somehow a slap on the wrist, however if he is stopped again regardless if he books it or not, he will get the driving whilst disqualified offence instead which allows them to ramp up the penalty and in many cases will earn you a short stay at His Majesty's pleasure. The actual whole point of the offence is so it's on paper. Don't blame the old bill or the judge for what seems like a nonsensical punishment; blame sentencing guidelines. They are the reason for every disproportionate sentence handed down. They are the reason Southport Rioters have the book thrown at them whilst kiddy fiddlers walk free, because the latter's sentence guidelines are out of date and need reviewing and for the former, knee-jerk reaction. If you threw a petrol bomb through a hotel for sheltering asylum seekers you deserve time, but incitement or breaking a car window in no way warrants the amount of time behind bars people got for it; especially when it's already been made clear prisons do not have the capacity tfor people to get convicted for dumb shit and neither does it make sense to release a bunch of prisoners on licence to ease overcrowding only to then process 5 in for each 1 out because they said some hurty things on Facebook that should just be treated with a simple eye roll and a 'get Aunty Shannon off social media please, Mum'.

The California Highway Patrol look isn’t for the UK. Someone should pull her and point a few things out to help her going forward. Surely these things should have been taught at Training school. Sack the gum, a Police Officer shouldn’t chew gum whilst on duty, call the man asked to sit in the rear of her car Sir not buddy and think about the shades, only wearing them when absolutely necessary and not fashion related. So near to being spot on but unsure whether these things can be pointed out these days, it might be seen as bullying rather than being helpful.

Here in New Zealand, you're only required to insure your car if there's money owing on it. In other words, it's the finance company that asks for insurance, not the law. Anyway, thanks for another great episode =)

I've been watching some American police chases lately & they all seem exactly the same: testosterone-fuelled cops chasing cars absolutely flat-out, with seemingly no regard whatsoever for public safety & that's the cops I'm talking about. When the driver is finally caught (often times with a life-threatening PIT maneuver) it's guns out & lots of shouting and swearing. I'm sure they go on those chases on purpose, just for the adrenalin rush! Anyway, the British constabulary seem a LOT more laid back & some even have a sense of humour (yes Amy) ... much easier to watch than those yanks =) So that Bulgarian/Hungarian guy got done for no insurance, and then the taxi they hopped into had signs on the windows saying "Not insured unless booked through operator" LOL
