🎯 Key points for quick navigation: 📏 The 60-30-10 color rule, originally from interior design, is explained for UI design, using 60% for background, 30% for secondary elements, and 10% for primary, attention-grabbing colors. 🎨 The 10% color is the primary highlight, designed to stand out and guide user attention through contrast with other colors. 🖋️ The 30% color is secondary, used for complementary or contrasting elements like text, enhancing the design’s readability. 🖼️ The 60% color forms the design’s theme or background, often using varied shades for light or dark themes. 💡 The 60-30-10 rule is a guideline, allowing flexibility; designs don’t have to follow it strictly, encouraging creative exploration. 🖌️ The video includes practical design examples, demonstrating the rule with different color applications and how they affect user focus. 🏗️ Framer, a no-code design tool, is introduced as a sponsor, offering easy conversion of design prototypes into functional websites. 👁️ Stark plugin is recommended for checking color contrast to ensure accessibility, helping refine color usage in design. My desktop screen is not visible, brother; if I click on the desktop screen preview option, my tablet and mobile screen are the only ones that are visible. The tablet screen opens instantly when I click the preview button on the desktop screen.
@CalerEdwards29 күн бұрын
Hmmm, could be that your screen is not wide enough to reach the desktop breakpoint. If possible increase your browser width and see if that fixes or drag the handles in preview to widen the view. Hope that helps! Let me know if that didn’t work :D

How to have the Loader animation play only once. I mean when you go from Page 1 to Page 2 the loader animation plays but when you go to Page 3 and go back to Page 2 the loader anumation shouldn't play on Page 2. Any solution for this?

You could only place the loader on the homepage so it only plays there. I’m using it as a page transition in this example.

@CalerEdwards I followed your guide to create my portfolio, but I encountered a problem. When I click on a project, it keeps opening on a new page. How can I fix this? Additionally, how can I optimize the portfolio for mobile devices, especially the homepage? I'd appreciate any guidance you can provide. Thank you

Unpopular opinion, but I hate when websites mess with the scroll wheel so that the text moves but the image doesn’t. The protohomes website would drive me crazy. Just because it’s new and different doesn’t mean it should be implemented. This just makes it more difficult to navigate. Make it simple and INTUITIVE! Sure, make the site look good, but at the end of the day I want to be able to navigate around and USE the website. I doubt my actual experience is going to be the picturesque journey the developers were envisioning. I need to be able to quickly move back and forth from one page on the site to another without being told a story every time. Animations: I appreciate good aesthetics, but if the cool little animation causes the site to lag, it needs to go. The aesthetic should not hamper functionality.
