I was wondering about Coalville after Joe Thorpes video in 2020 of these newly installed barriers. Thanks for filming this to update us on the crossing! But please film the crossing head on instead of on the rail side.

Thank you for your comment. I believe that the barriers were replaced sometime between late July / early August of 2020 like you stated. I do appreciate the comment on filming the crossings head on however it would have been tricky to have filmed them head on and got back to position in time. Also the reason for me filming where I did was to capture the loco and rolling stock with the old railway hotel in the background as it is a historic link to Coalville’s railway heritage. However in future if time is permitting I will make sure to film them head on as I understand it is also something of great interest to others. Thanks.

Thank you for your comment and I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I used to film here quite often before doing KZbin and when the service through Coalville were quite regular. Unfortunately now your lucky to see anything come through so I try to pop over whenever anything dose, but be reassured it won’t be 3 years till you see another video of this crossing.

@leicetrains there would be train's stopping at Sleaford during the summer from all over the coal fields and London heading for Skegness, made it very easy to get to Skegness from Sleaford, the Skegness Nottingham service used to start at Crewe, interestingly those loco hauled trains going through Lincoln central had an issue with the train being to long for the platform unlike Sleaford

Thanks for the information that’s very interesting. I don’t know a great deal about the older services regarding Skegness as it’s not my local station just somewhere I visit every few months. It’s all interesting information however as it fits in with one of my interests in railways. Thanks.

Awesome video of the different trains passing through Hinckley station and seeing the class 50s me and my girlfriend seeing the class 50s in the morning that day me and my girlfriend have subscribed to you keep it up with your great videos

Hey I’m maddie I was on the bridge that day filming the train but then I go after are you from Hinckley or else where would be nice to meet u sometime well done on the videos they are awesome
