Great video, did you just stumble on all that wildlife as you drove along or did you hire a guide?
@AWilderLife23 күн бұрын
Thank you Sean! We did indeed have a guide, we’ve been to Mull and gone with Nature Scotland 3 times now and can highly recommend! We like going with them towards the start of our trips because they’re so knowledgeable they can help you out with things you might want to try and see later that week 👍

@@AWilderLife Thank you, I'm buying a little camper van tomorrow and would love to do what you guys did. Did you hire a guide for the day or is it an escorted tour over several days?
@AWilderLife22 күн бұрын
We just did a one day tour with Nature Scotland, it normally runs something like 10am-4pm or 5pm-ish from memory 😀 they do offer multiple day tours though which we’re hoping to do one day!

Hi Girls, been a while since I contacted you but Bee-eater, Pallid Harrier & a Bonxie, what a visit! Me & Jan did Spurn in 2019 & stayed in the Crown & Anchor, our view from our room was amazing, plus it was a grand place to stay, I believe David & Adrian still run it. I'll never forget driving there & realising the Humber & North Sea getting closer, a special place with its own atmosphere. You'd have both loved Blacktoft too, was there a few weeks ago & got a Pec Sandpiper, great day! Hope you're both well..
@AWilderLife27 күн бұрын
Ah Jonathan great to hear from you! The views from the Crown & Anchor were brilliant you must have had a great time! Pec Sandpiper is a great result! We'll have to have a look at Blacktoft and spend some more time that way 😀

A kingfisher and little owl in the same day. That's what I'd call a result. I don't live that far from Horsham but have never been to Warnham. Perhaps I should. Thanks for another gentle and entertaining video.

Omg why have I only just discovered your channel? Ladies after my own heart 💜 I love the production value of your vlogs, definitely an inspiration to make my own better! I'm desperate to see a little owl as part of the big year I'm currently on, but thus far they've eluded me. I love your owl goal, and so happy you got to tick this one and capture such lush footage too!

This is a lovely experience you have shared. I'm in the same local area. On Friday, I sat on the path there for an hour, watching the golden light fade as my legs went numb! Barny finally showed up and flew along the path towards me but it was too dark for the camera. Very frustrating but still exciting to watch. Another flew over my head in my torch light on the walk back. Next season I think..

So glad you enjoyed the video Paul! Sounds like you had a lovely encounter! It definitely gets more difficult now with the light setting earlier, wonderful to see them though 😀 fingers crossed you get some on camera soon! 🤞 🦉

What a fulfilling and enjoyable afternoon you both had! As others have commented, the Kingfisher footage was particularly lovely and well done. Barn Owls are probably my personal favourites, but they're all pretty incredible and you are so lucky to live in the midst of such beautiful unspoilt English countryside, in which so much nature is at your disposal. And there was me thinking that Sussex by the sea was the best part.

Great stuff! I'm also trying to see all five owls this year, and Little Owl is the only one I'm still to get. Didn't find one at all last year either, for the first time in more than a decade. They're really becoming difficult to find now. Long-eared Owl is my favourite bird and i got my first UK one at Elmley at the beginning of the year (only seen them in Serbia prior to that).
@AWilderLifeАй бұрын
