I have worked with a bunch of different programmers where they all kept their own code private and wouldnt share it. Nor would they ask questions unless paid for it. Just not team players. And if I had anything to say about it at the time, they would be out the door.

As I listen to your show and realize the threats we face as I.T. Pros, i put this together real quick as a quick reference the common user can implement to avoid malware and loss of privacy. Public Service Announcement: Protecting Your Data at Home Use Strong, Unique Passwords: Ensure each account has a strong, unique password. Avoid using easily guessable passwords and consider using a password manager to keep track of them. Enable Two-Factor Authentication: Add an extra layer of security by enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) for your accounts. This requires a second form of identification, such as a code sent to your phone. Keep Software Updated: Regularly update your operating system, applications, and antivirus software. Updates often contain important security patches that protect against vulnerabilities. Back Up Your Data: Regularly back up your important files to an external hard drive or a secure cloud service. This ensures you have a copy in case of data loss. Use Antivirus and Anti-Malware Programs: Install reputable antivirus and anti-malware programs to protect your computer from malicious software. Run regular scans to detect and remove threats. Be Cautious with Email Attachments and Links: Avoid opening email attachments or clicking on links from unknown or suspicious sources. Phishing attacks often use emails to trick you into revealing personal information. Secure Your Wi-Fi Network: Use a strong password to secure your Wi-Fi network and change the default network name (SSID) to something unique. Enable network encryption (WPA3) for added security. Limit Personal Information on Social Media: Be mindful of the personal information you share on social media. Oversharing can make you a target for identity theft and other cybercrimes. Use a VPN: Consider using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) when accessing the internet, especially on public Wi-Fi networks. A VPN encrypts your internet connection, protecting your data from prying eyes. Educate Yourself and Your Family: Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats and best practices. Encourage your family members to follow these steps to create a safer digital environment at home. Stay safe and protect your data by following these 10 simple yet effective steps. Your vigilance is the first line of defense against cyber threats.

…dealing with criminals and APTs… okay, yeah. Yet a common thread with them and corp execs is that they all tend to exhibit psychopathic pathologies. We should not expect c-suite sympathy about Ciso having to take on personal risk or deal with reduced resources. CISOs need to use their social and hacker skills.. be a benevolent virus within the corp environment to bring about constructive change.

The Uber case is far different than what is generally considered in the risk they had vs. the breach and fines.. execs don't realize their CISO had everything going for him.. He arguably did everything exemplary possible to avoid it. The next cases will be with corps and execs who will be caught off guard by not understanding that. Their businesses and execs will likely suffer the full wrath of the SEC...

Ken Westin runs the stalking and cyberbullying account @cthulhu_answers. He also impersonated a US war veteran named Matt Farwell from his other alt account @nihlsec. Stop removing these comments you are harming innocent people by platforming Ken.

And Ken is exposing harmful people. Sounds like you're one of the harmful people he exposed, and your libel is getting removed.

@@AnonymousFreakYT good to know you support him stealing valor, harassing, bullying and stalking people. If these are all normal things to you , reevaluate your life.

@@AnonymousFreakYT yes. Look up Michael Slowik vs Ken Westin lawsuit filed in Knoxville Tennessee. All the evidence is filed with the court. So is the restraining order filed against him

lol it’s funny how you reported the 2 comments that discredit your entire podcast with Ken Westin. Look up Michael Slowik vs Ken Westin lawsuit in Tennessee. Ken is being sued for defamation, harassment, cyberbullying, and cyber stalking. He also has a restraining order filed against him. You interviewed a liar, and a fraud.
@AnonymousFreakYTАй бұрын
Well, I tried looking that up, and got zero results. So… I know Ken has a lot of people pissed off at his exposing cybercrime and fraud, so it isn't surprising that someone he exposed is filing dubious lawsuits; but I can't find any evidence of it.
@LinuxjunkiexАй бұрын
@@AnonymousFreakYT go to pacer. It’s a real lawsuit. Ken may have exposed criminals 10 years ago but he’s doing nothing but targeting innocent people these days
