This is a test message. This is a test message. This is a test message. This is a test message. This is a test message. Alright Dodge City, we get it. Move on and stop spamming "This is a test message.".
@MobileTaz4 жыл бұрын
They actually have to do it that way. It is to avoid any misinterpretation whatsoever by the least sophisticated listener. When emergency services do scenario drills, every radio communication ends with "This is a drill, this is a drill", so that some trooper who is passing through or some person with a scanner doesn't pick it up in the middle thinking something is really going on.

Just aksing Is this how most companies refurbish their electronics or they go much deeper
@MobileTaz4 жыл бұрын
It depends on the company. At the time I made this video, I had my own business doing computer repair in a small town. I developed a reputation in town and was retained by a local rent-to-own company to service their store computers and customer computers that were still being paid off, as well as refurbish computers that had been returned or repossessed for resale. Other companies with larger profit margins may automatically replace more parts, as I said this machine had little use, but in most cases I would also replace the fan and keyboard because they're usually pretty nasty and uncleanable. The battery may also be replaced if it failed a runtime test.

Why does the update eas have the radio make a different alert tone than the warning? I’ve never heard a radio do that.
@MobileTaz4 жыл бұрын
Theres three levels of alert.. Statement/Advisory, Watch, and Warning. Some radios make different tones for all three, some use all the same or only two different tones (Statement and Watch use the same tone, warning uses a different tone). It all depends on the radio.
@progenitor_amborella3 жыл бұрын
MobileTaz I figured it was that simple, seems like a good idea. I haven’t been issued a statement over eas in years.

I watched your video, and I am thankful you communicated such good knowledge. I plan to do a "Ghetto" DYI rack. Mine is not going to be in a YT video, so I can just make it look however way I want. I just care about functionality and ability to store all computers in one particular place. And, also, thank you for sharing about different cheaper options for switches and firewalls. Yes, I'm on a budget. I'm a student, so I'd like to learn lots of this stuff. So, all of your ideas are fabulous. And, one more thing -- I wish you'd make more videos and keep uploading content. Your ideas & viewpoints can really shape many others -- if you just get your Subscribers up. You'll never be LinusTechTips (of course), but you can be like ByteMyBits or the others. I watch BMB lots too. He's awesome & very good channel. Okay thanks for sharing with all of us.
