My love for Marilyn brought me here. Jean would have been an amazing actress had she lived longer. So tragic. But shes with Marilyn ❤

Her African American roots are so clearly alive when she sings those songs that she learned from her father. Beautiful!

Dale was a very gracious man. He came to our house a few times in Portland to visit my father.-they were best friends growing up and actually went to L.A. after graduating highschool together. My father was a talented singer and showman. But family and Korea called so my father got detoured from attaining his dreams in showbiz. We visited once in L.A. at his home after he got the family tickets to the Merv Griffin Show. My little sister who was 9 at the time was to young to sit in the audience so she sat back stage in the green room with the guests. She sat with Ricky Schoerder on Silver Spoons at the time. They were about the same age. She dont remember too much though. Dale worked for some very powerful heavy weights in the business. Merv Griffin may very well be the most powerful of them all at that time.

Most of what I put on video is at least represented eon my"Channel". This show - TO DIE FOR, went into network production but never further than the pilot - (which this is not - this was something I did. The Network pilot was not like this!) If you are on the TO DIE FOR Playlist here on the channel, the Network Pilot is the one with the girl in the space helmet.

Good in Marnie. Not so much in the Birds. Didn’t appreciate her later comments on Hitchcock. I cannot really respect her. No other actresses corroborated those actions. Hitchcock discovered her. She should be grateful

She was not the only actress that to say that Hitchcock was a controlling weirdo.

after watching the movie, its so hard to watch this. It seems so uninspired in comparison, its hard to give them the credit they deserve.
@step38924 ай бұрын
I agree. This production was awful. Acting is totally amateurish across the board. They are all just reciting lines. The principal is especially painful to watch. Even if I never saw the movie (though I did) , I still know really bad acting when I see it. Is this a neighborhood production? They seem clueless about acting.

Allison is one of a kind very iconic. however i dont like the way she interviews. she tries to talk over the host, talks a little too much, she needs to slowdown and take a deep breath and listen more, we love you Allison but too much talking is not good. even when you are a guest on a talk show

Wasn't she running a successful restaurant when she died? I think it was located close to where she died. She is fun to watch, perfect with Groucho Marx. Seems like she died too soon and would have been successful at whatever she tried. This was a nice tribute worked in with that sense of irony.

Yes. It was just a short walk from her home which was up the hill from the "cafe". It was on PCH. I went to the house. It was still with the original garage door! Crazy

Soooo sweeet. She “passed” and became famous.🙏🏽 Bless her heart 💜! It took all those years for her to feel comfortable enough to sing the old ‘negro’ songs that her dad sang in their home. 🥺
@JacquelineTarleton4 ай бұрын
Yes she was African American. She was told when she was 17 years old. She broke many barriers but has received no credit neither did she seek them. She performed. She stood her ground in a brutal world quietly opening doors with a big voice - doors that wouldn’t be discovered broken down for decades to come. She was herself. She sent signals even in this interview. Cheers ~

02:30 "You're whitewashing." Carol is remarkably forthright and 100% honest. She took a compliment about being a good mother, and turned it around to reflect the truth. Listen again. She's so open, letting her guard down in the usual celeb interview.
