I pretty much have the exact same set up intake and carburetor, I was curious what did you set your overall idle timing to? I know the TBI computer adjusted it on its own so I was curious what timing you went with. Thanks in advance.

I got a 90 c2500 with a L98 that I carbed. I have the 3l80/th400 trans. What do I need to make it work right? It's not quite driveable yet but I'm just trying to figure out what else to do
@dennisowen37175 ай бұрын
Good info but I hope you hooked up the Throttle Valve cable from your 700R4 Trans to the Carb and had it adjusted correctly. Otherwise you'll burn up that 700R4 real fast.

Your doin to much. Drop the eletric pump. All 5.7 pre vortech litterally can bolt a mechanical pump. Go get a 87 or older alternator with the external regulator. 100% remove all the obd wires. Ull be left with 3 wires. 1 to dist. 1 to starter signal. 1 to the damn electric choke. I feel bad for anyone who tried this guys way and have fuel pressures sky high. Carbs need at best. 5psi that electric pump from factory pushes 10x more. And ull never tune that carb right. Makes sense why this guy never starts the engine. Probably floods it and blows fire balls out the carb. Fkin stupid

I want to let you guys all know that you guys are all wrong about the electronic Transmissions. I am currently running my original transmission with original distributor original coil pack with a Holley 650 high-rise manifold with no cats. What i discovered as long as you keep your crank sensor cam sensor O2 sensors plugged in while still using your original computer the transmission will shift just fine and you can still run your stock distributor didn't have to buy a new one all I bought was intake manifold Holley 650 carb fuel pressure regulator this ol truck starts up every single morning. not one issue. The only thing I don't like is I have a wiring mess under my hood that I'm trying to figure out how to get cleaned up without cutting any wires I can probably cut them all out and everything will be fine but just in case I got forgot what to do with them that's my only problem but it took me a good minute I haven't came across one video on here that shows what I have done everybody's going completely out of their way of buying all this ignition system s*** and you don't need it to make your transmission shift

@@johncarter9054 Thanks John. Got it figured out. New question. Can you tell me anything about the TPS from my TBI? I can't figure out if I need to hook it up to my Rochester to make my tranny shift right or does it work exclusively off of the detent cable?

Thanks for the video, it was very helpful. But need help. I completed the efi to carb conversion on my 96 silverado and am utilizing the 4l60e. I used the holley tps. Tried to set tps to .5 at idle and can't get the wot higher than 3.8 and doing so changes the idle to 1.8. It goes without saying g the trans starts out in second gear. I can not find the purple with white stripe wire in the plug which went to stock dist. Or for that matter anywhere else in the engine wiring harness. I even had an additional wiring harness from a 96 and couldn't find the wire in it. The engine I installed does not have crank sensor. Can you please help?

To Get The In Tank Pump To Work other than just prime! cut grey wire from fuel pump relay on passenger firewall and connect it to new relay which will be your fuel pump hot with constant 12v, switched 12v & ground wahla fuel pump comes on with ignition switch and works properly! Remember to use a bypass regulator!
