And, I really liked the example that he gave about colorism, anti blackness in Haitian politics during President Antoine Simon’s tenure. Unfortunately, we can still see this kind of neo colonial or neo liberal politics in the U.S. Ex POTUS Obama surrounded himself with a bunch of YUPPIES and ignored the talents of BIPOCS! Blessed. RastafarI love. Lanmou RastafarI. I really liked the thesis or essay questions that Professor Cassimir proposed to have his students write about. The best answers would require a description of the environment and the socio cultural tenets of the time. I also loved the story that he related about the Madan Sara who disrupted the “ respectable” office environment by voicing her protest against the mistreatment that she and others received.
