They're approx. the same size but the shells are very different.

I don't recommend Wings as beginner planes as they're very CG sensitive. This is a very nice flying Wing though so if you already have experience flying RC planes I do recommend it.

@ I understand I guess I will practice some on a Z-84 without camera or with a cheap analog camera first then. Would you say the skill of flying without camera translates well over to flying with goggles?

@@Rocketman0407 Great idea! The Z84 Wing is the easiest Wing I've flown. For me, flying FPV was easier than flying Line-of-Sight, however, for most I think it's the opposite.

The specs state you can use a DSM or SBUS receiver in the stock board but I haven't tested a DSM receiver.

just bought one. i have the volantex f16 and like it, but find that if not wide open it really likes to fall from the sky, I have also done the mod you recommend with changing ip servo and horn changes. I am looking to get to slightly bigger planes than this but thats likely it. would the TX12 be a good option to bind to this and some future planes? likely always small park flyers.

@@americanolounge6572 I was out flying mine today. The best way to bind to these BNF and RTF planes is a TX that has a 4in1 Module. Some of these transmitters have an option for a built-in 4in1 module or have a module bay to add a 4in1 module or other protocol module.

I do like the sound of those EDF Units but prefer the power and flight time a pusher motor and prop provide.

I tested some WebGL code on mine from webglsamples.org. Those are running smooth for me. I have an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060. I'm running Linux Mint 20.3 (Una). I'm always hesitant to enable hardware acceleration in a web browser as it's been pretty glitchy for me in the past. So far so good.

I used a Radiolink R8FM Receiver not the stock RX. So I used the Radiolink Protocol.

Some of these gyros are strange with any trim input. I mechanically trimmed mine. I also found issues when changing gyro modes if there was any trim input. Some gyros also act strange until there is throttle input.

Thank You! Yes, the replacement EDF Unit was quite a bit heavier than the stock unit and would have required a lot of battery up front to get the CG. I opted to go with a pusher motor and prop to keep it fairly light. I'll use the new EDF in a DIY project.

That's always a risk with these linkages that do not have clevises. I just twist the control horns enough to remove the linkage rod and I haven't broken one yet but I'm sure I eventually will. It's much easier at the servo arm as I remove the servo arm to change the linkage and then re-attach it.
