@@ianfutube He’s a star Sylvian eh. You’ve confirmed my thoughts on inter group thanks, looking at lap times. How do the S22’s hold up round there?
@ianfutube2 жыл бұрын
@@Officialnrb I used S22's for the Sylvain video because I rode down on the bike from Leeds. They were good and more capable than I was at the time. The later video, I did on Bridgestone V02 slicks which were amazing but they are so much more expensive now, so might be bringing the S22's out again 🤔

@ianfutube2 жыл бұрын
Hi Chepo, first I would suggest you get your suspension serviced and setup for the track. I thought mine was ok but was a bit unstable under braking. Getting the suspension professionally adjusted made it much more stable and improved my time. Also fitting some some EBC EPFA379HH brake pads and braided lines was a good budget upgrade. My engine is standard but I do have a healtech quick shifter and a healtech x-tree power box which removes the restrictions in the first 3 gears. I’ve got a yoshimura end can but this is on the edge of being too noisy when not running with the baffle (around 103db). Sometimes I ride on the road to get to the circuits and other times I get a lift on a trailer. Bridgestone S22’s for road and Bridgestone v02 slicks if trailer transportation. Hope you enjoy yours 👍

Great video, thanks for posting. I was surprised at how many times Sylvain suggests carrying less corner speed, in order to set a better lap time. I guess that sometimes you need to go slow to go fast. Fascinating stuff.
@ianfutube3 жыл бұрын
Hi Nick, it takes some getting your head around but makes sense that the sooner you get turned and upright the harder you can accelerate. Just easier said than done. Going back in September and hopefully I’ll be able to knock a bit more time off 👍

Hope it didn't do too much damage. We were there for 2 days and I think almost every session got red flagged at some point. Camera is an old Drift Stealth 2, I picked it up for about £90 a few years ago at the Motorcycle show at the NEC. Use TrackAddict app on an android phone and RaceRender to provide telemetry and video edit.

@@ianfutube so i have done it to my bike, 80% of the chattering is gone. Used a pencil to see if discs were wrapped but they were not so if the problem comes back i dont know what to blame. Thank you anyway :)
@ianfutube3 жыл бұрын
@@Shooter7250 OK have you cleaned the disc surfaces. I'm wondering if there is some pitting or residue that is making the pad gab at low speed, you'd be unlikely to notice at higher speeds. I'd try cleaning both discs with some sandpaper and perhaps same on the pads or replace if badly worn and see how that goes?

Nice riding, do the footpegs scrub when you leaning. Do you have more difficulties leaning it compared to a crutch rocket? I have a 2016 z1000 I'm thinking of tracking. Thank you
@ianfutube4 жыл бұрын
Yes, ground clearance is an issue, it wears through the foot pegs and also tends to scrape the bottom right hand side fairing. The bike turns real easy and the engine is very flexible so it's easy to do a reasonable time but if you want to take it seriously then you're better off with a sports bike, mainly due to clearance and weight. Here is the same track with me on my GSXR 1000 K6 which I now use for track riding and I keep the Z1000SX for touring and pillion use :-) kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZC2g2SJZ7OobK8

Brembo SA are fast road pads. SC are track pads but even then if you are riding often on track you need more HD. A decent master cylinder like an RCS19, braided lines, decent fresh fluid and pads like GPFAX (dusty) or Z04s will fix this 100%. Trust me I experienced the same and am on my third GSXR purely for track
