siobhan c She didn’t forget. She’s going off of the script, which the writer probably cut in order to save screen time. It’s a shame but not her fault.

See ladies? Shakespeare was a man, but also a romantic. Not all of them are testosterone-driven mooks. Sure, most are, but some could potentially be trained to be less so. The key is that, as in the rest of education, it's best to start early. To wit: Schools of romance should be set up. They would have weekend and after-school programs that would refine whatever rough and uncut stones they receive. Granted, many stones would just shatter or not yield at well enough (or at all) to sawing, grinding, sanding, lapping, polishing, drilling, tumbling* to produce a gem worth putting on a ring, but at least their pick-up lines wouldn't be quite so awful. I'm thinking of training for guys mostly, but there is much that could be done to train the wiles of women, sharpen their wits and enhance their perceptive abilities. Judgment? Probably not- but if the faculties of perception are schooled, the heart and mind will most likely become better aligned- or less bitter enemies. As of yet, the best guys can hope for is to have an older relative or friend who can serve as a tutor and role model in the arts of romance. Sadly, these fellows are found few and far between :( So we need to set up academies- sort of like Kaplan test prep centers, except with *much* better interior decoration, design and pleasing aromas. There would be classes like "Talking to a Girl 101" for 12 year-olds, as well as "Talking to Females R-01" (the R stands for "Remedial" This class would be open to all ages of cads and delinquents in need of reform;). The latter course of correction would be taught by a stern German woman named Dagmar. Failure to pay close attention would be swiftly punished. In turn, the incomes and career opportunities for professional dominatrices would be enhanced, most likely ;) ...and so on... You get the gist, right? I'm sure there are plenty of people out there who could flesh-out the concept better. The question is: Will anyone put up enough capital to get the venture up and running? Once guys see that their classmates who went to the Shakespeare Academy of the Romantic Arts are now being treated by girls as if they were Harry Styles (or, for the more mature ladies reading this, Colin Firth) a sort of arms race of romantic skill could be set off. There would be peer pressure to drive the virtuous cycle forward. Interpersonal Ethics 101 and "How to Spot a Sleazeball Lothario/Skank" would be part of the core curriculum. Day 1 would be: "People Talk- word gets around and you *will* get a reputation- whether you like it or not." *see webpage: "How are Gems Cut and Polished?" nature.berkeley.edu/classes/eps2/wisc/teleport/howcut.html
