This video is not European Spanish the letters C are pronounced as S and the A and O are pronounced very open, it sounds more like South American

"European Spanish"? Don't you realise that this is specific to Madrid and Northern Spain in particular and not to Spain in general? There are three forms of Castilian Spanish spoken in Spain: distinción (what you're talking about) as well as seseo (which is also spoken in Latin America) and ceceo. So your phrase "European Spanish" is a complete misnomer.

Castilian is the one with distinción, not the others. And do you realise ceceo and seseo are specific to Andalucía and Canarias in particular and not to Spain in general?
