Several months ago I was using Clipchamp to record my gaming videos. I went to make another one a few days ago using the record "screen and camera" option like I always have but after I finished recording and clicked on "save and edit" the web cam recording is there but the screen recording is just black. I can even hear the sound from the screen recording of my game but the video of the screen recording is just black. Both of the recordings show at the bottom on the timeline where you can edit but on the top where it used to play it's just black. What do I need to do? Thank you ahead of time for any advice and or help!

Hello, thanks for a good simple video. However, I have an issue. I do a screen & camera video and when I save it both me on the webcam and what I'm recording on the screen goes into my media. But when I hit play it just shows the webcam on playback and not the screen with me in the lower left corner. Both recordings are on the timeline. New to this so I hope this makes sense and you can tell my why. Thanks in advance, Tim

Agree with many others. Great intro video showing all the basic editing tools and moves in 1 place. You also understand 1 thing many product experts fail to realize over and over. Watching you we are seeing your screen on possibly our tiny phone screen. Their failure is saying "click here" forgetting we can't see their tiny, tiny cursor. TELLING us what to do before proceeding doesn't cut it. SHOW US by moving a very visible cursor and tell us where to find what you want us to see and do. Thank you for remembering to do this! THAT plus your experience is what places you above the rest.

I am a 60-year old retiree who took a job with an auto supplier, and I now make their instructional videos for the production area strictly using ClipChamp. I taught myself how to use it, and the owner said they are the most professional-looking videos he has seen so far depicting the process out of the floor. I do an English and Spanish version of each one for all our employees out there. It is by far the easiest to use for video creation.

Nice demo of importing a voiceover with sound. Is it possible to record your voiceover during your video playback while in Clipchamp? When I click on record audio, it shows a blue screen but not my video. It's hard to narrate without seeing the video. Thanks!
@valorexcelАй бұрын
Thanks so much!! Someone else asked about this previously and here's what I suggested: Unfortunately, entering the "Record" mode in Clipchamp takes you out of the video editing screen, so there's no way to view the video while you're recording. One option is to export just the video portion of your project, then play it back from your desktop using something like Windows Media Player. Adjust the sizing to keep the windows open for both WMP and Clipchamp, then, in the project your video came from, click on "Record & Create", then "Audio". Press the "record" button in Clipchamp, then start playing your video from the separate player. The audio file will be saved to your project, and you can go back after you record and move it around (and/or slice it) to align the audio with the video.

Thank you for great teaching. How can you keep the same character at all the pages of the book?
@valorexcelАй бұрын
Thanks so much! Unfortunately, at least from a Canva perspective, I don't think they've developed the technology to the point yet that you can maintain the same character image. Even if you ask Canva to generate an image using the exact same criteria that you used before, you're likely to get something that looks different each time. I would tend to guess that they're actively working on ways to allow for image consistency, so hopefully we'll see something in the near future.

Nice tutorial. I hope you can help with a problem I'm having. After loading a clip onto my timeline, the picture that appears on the preview screen is tiny, which makes it hard to do any editing. I've tried enlarging the box that appears around the clip, but that doesn't seem to help. Is there a button I need to click on to make the clip fill the entire preview screen?
@valorexcel2 ай бұрын
Thank you! If you want to be able to view a clip full screen, look to the right of the "rewind", "play", and "fast forward" controls and you should see what looks like the four corners of a square. If you click on this, it will enlarge the clip to full screen. I hope this helps!

Thanks so much for your kind comments! When you're editing, underneath the clip and to the right of where the "play", "rewind", and "fast forward" buttons are, you should see an icon that looks like the four corners of a square. @@valorexcel Thanks for your reply. You're correct, when I click on the icon you suggested, the clip does fill the screen but then I can no longer see my timeline. When I look at your tutorial, your clip fills the preview screen and you can still see your timeline. I only get about 3 inches of video on my preview screen.

How do you move the video of you around the screen in the editing process?
@valorexcel3 ай бұрын
When you're ready to start editing, position your cursor on the image of you as it appears in the preview screen of the editor. If you right click, there should be an option for "picture in picture". If you hover over the right arrow, you'll see that it gives you the options of 'top left', 'top right', 'bottom left', and 'bottom right'. I hope that helps!

I have been asked to split an existing 53 minute video talk into sections, and then send each section over to our marketing team. If you have any Help guides on that, it would be really useful! (Your instructions are so clear, thank you!)
@valorexcel4 ай бұрын
Thanks so much for your comments! If you want to separate your 53-minute video into sections, I'd recommend that you import the full video into a Clipchamp project and then use the "slice" tool to divide it into sections. First, put a slice at whatever the end point of your first section is. Then, delete the section you don't need and export the video. Continue to do this for each section that you need to separate: create a new project, import the full 53-minute video, and use the slice tool. Put a slice at the exact point where the previous section ended, then put a slice wherever you want the current section to end. After making the slices, discard the sections you don't need and then export the video. This should enable you to have the sections that you need, each as its own video. I hope this helps!!

very abrupt start, you should've import video, edit it and then bring in other clips. I didn't see any options to give text a color background. You also should've talk some more about "recording" and how to show paragraphs next to the webcam on the same screen and flawlessly change the texts from one to another, like teacher talking to students and showing the quotes from the text book on the side and changing them like a slide.

Thanks so much for your comments! In many of the editing programs I've used, the export speed seems to be roughly equal to the actual play time of the finished video, but there are definitely a variety of issues that can affect this. I found a thread on the Microsoft Support site that may be helpful: prod.support.services.microsoft.com/en-au/topic/exporting-from-clipchamp-troubleshooting-61dad49a-666f-4982-b8a7-8807617ae16a
