Hi! My husband is about to start building a drop down changing table very similar to this. Can you tell me how much weight this holds? We're hoping to hold through toddler age. Or if you have a suggestion on specific parts to hold up to the weight?

Hi, I like the video and the furniture a lot, thanks for sharing that! But what is with the pneumatic stays? Are they just in case gravity breaks down? Maybe a nice piece of rope would have done the job? ;-)
@nicodoesitall44846 жыл бұрын
Thanks Holy Nazgul. When I initially designed the change table, I wanted to see the top coming in horizontal position slowly, a bit like these kitchen drawers that close softly. My concern lay with the risk of damaging the integrity of the structure and the wall in case on continuously slamming the top down. In reality, it happened that the pneumatic stays I found in my local hardware store were not adapted to actually do this job and to support the weight of the top (in part 2, I added a mirror and wood frame). If you want to have this soft opening effect, you will need to get two "Soft-Open Drop Down Stays" that can handle the weight of your top. In the current state, the change table handles my son (11kg) and other children (> 18kg) weight without any problem. Cheers. Nico

Do you have detailed plans with dimensions? I think it looks great, my daughter wants one just like it.
@nicodoesitall44846 жыл бұрын
Hi John, I designed the change table on sketchup with exact dimensions. You can find it here: drive.google.com/open?id=1Rc3rtOgFWLhf7bi7QR4eC38aR_mwyvBc I have been using it for over a year now and it works great. I found it ideal for our small bathroom mainly because of small foot print when folded.
Super vidéo , je vais m'en inspirer pour chez moi, continue et merci du partage !
