Hi! Thank you so much for watching my videos, and welcome to Lyon! it’s such a beautiful city! To make friends, I’d suggest joining local language exchange meetups, and signing up for group activities like cooking or yoga classes I used Facebook groups like “Expats in Lyon” that organize events and meetups, that’s where I meet a lot of nice people before I started work and they organize a lot of fun activities! Wishing you the best as you settle in, you’re going to love it here! X

Switzerland is beautiful! I loved taking cogwheel trains. Luzern was especially nice, because people talk to you in the street. It was very friendly. I enjoyed the greater diversity in Lausanne. It’s been many years since I’ve been there, but I remembered I felt it was so livable there. Pricey, but I live in California, so…🤷🏽♀️

It’s a great idea to have pictures of yourself at different ages! I was so camera shy, I don’t have many pictures. I’m glad to have the few, I do have. I’m now, 57. A very young, 57! Hehe!

I'm thinking about going to Lyon in four months (in february), to study French for one month and i'm terribly afraid of feeling alone or not enjoying the city (the voices of anxiety, you know how it goes...), but watching your video made me feel very happy about going :)

Thank you so much!! 🥰 It’s definitely not easy in the beginning but there are a few groups for expats and other events for internationals where you meet people and make friends, I’ve been lucky to have meet a few kind people that way so attending some of these international events can be really helpful and fun!
